Right, my goals for this week:
1. List 10 items on eBay
2. List 10 items on Amazon
3. Use at least 4 cloth nappies a day (thereby saving 28 disposables a week or approx £10 a month)
4. Limit top-up food spending to £10 between now and Saturday
5. Cancel gym membership- this will save £36 a month
6. Dig out insurance paperwork for home + contents/critical illness cover as I'm pretty sure that it's all up for renewal in April so I can change suppliers and get some quidco cashback
7. Clean out kitchen cupboards, chuck out anything past its use-by date and plan imaginative menus with the remainder!
Have a good week everyone,

Oh, is this what you're supposed to do? I thought you were supposed to open it, sniff it, shrug your shoulders then use it anyway?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well... it depends on HOW much past its date it is. I've been known to use some pretty ancient flour and baking powder and we're all still aliveDebt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Blimey, it's hard work this baby lark. Trying to get anything done is a mission... Right, a report on progress:
1. List 10 items on eBay
Managed to get 5 on there, 1 has sold and another 4 end tomorrow, all with bids :j
2. List 10 items on Amazon
I have about 20 items on there at the moment, have sold 3
3. Use at least 4 cloth nappies a day (thereby saving 28 disposables a week or approx £10 a month)
I've not done too badly on this, although still on sposies at night as I haven't any clothies up to the job of a 5 hour stretch between changes
4. Limit top-up food spending to £10 between now and Saturday
Yes- I did this! But have overspent massively on the weekly shop this week so am not too smug
5. Cancel gym membership- this will save £36 a month
Nope, need a kick up the backside to get this one done
6. Dig out insurance paperwork for home + contents/critical illness cover as I'm pretty sure that it's all up for renewal in April so I can change suppliers and get some quidco cashback
Home + contents insurance changed. Unbelievably I've gone from paying £706 a year to £358 and I got £125 quidco cashback too :j
7. Clean out kitchen cupboards, chuck out anything past its use-by date and plan imaginative menus with the remainder!
Um, didn't quite manage this- have started it but not finished
So, this week's plan of action is:
1. Finish clearing out kitchen cupboards
2. Maximum £10 on top-up shopping between now and Saturday
3. Change critical illness insurance supplier to get a cheaper quote and cashback
4. Cancel gym membership
5. List 10 items on eBay
6. Use at least 4 cloth nappies per day
7. Complete + send off application form for child benefit
8. Do some matched betting to supplement rubbish maternity pay
Am giving myself a major kick up the backside to achieve more this week despite having a 6 week old baby who likes to be attached to mummy 24 hours a day.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Thanks hun. I didn't get breakfast in bed but I did get a lovely big bunch of tulips and a card from Thomas (sorry, can't stand the name Tommy although I'm sure it'll be shortened to Tom when he's older!). Breakfast in bed would be fabulous but OH was suffering from Man Flu which as we all know is far worse than having given birth and doing feeds every few hours :rolleyes:Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
