If you offered this to the Botswana lawyers and the woman refused, I think you can be more confident that she's trying it on.

If she doesn't trust you to bring the samples home and send the correct ones in, tell her she can take a sample of the baby and arrange to send it in herself in addition to the one you take.

Why don't you contact the Botswana embassy in London and see if they can help out with any queries? Surely they'd know about process etc.

Surely though if you want to confirm or deny parentage you woudl do best to go to court.....that way it will all be done above board, in a proper environment where there can not be an accusation of tampering!

This could affect the rest of your life and you are thinking of popping a swab in the post? Even if it costs you a few hundred pounds having a definitive answer is worth that for peace of mind.
