!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've noticed that these people offer great deals-almost to good to be true.

Has anyone used them, or heard any reports about them? I don't want to give my money to an untried company that may be a group of conmen. Hopefully they're not, but I'm just seeing if anyone else knows.

Cheers.

Just because you and a few other people on these forums have had problems doesnt take away the fact they have many thousands of happy customers

Seriously do a search on google for "mobiles.co.uk" problems and see what comes up ..it may give you an idea of what may happen.
Try doing a search on here using the search facility for "mobiles.co.uk" under this section.
Heres a selection for you but I've not updated it for a couple of months but you could read these as a start ;)

After you order a phone from them you seem to be automatically signed up for insurance and a helpline both of which are chargable and it's up to you to cancel. I did - I cancelled my order.

Extract from order confirmation e-mail, this site did the !!!! not me by the way.

Gadget Helpline is a quick and easy service that allows you to ring up and get all the help you need with your phone, laptop, computer, DVD player, television, kettle, blender… you get the idea! Yes, I have a contract with them.

I got an HTC Hero (free) on an 18 month contract with Vodafone for £30 around the time they first came out, and I got 6 months half price, so it worked out to £25/month

The way it works is on the 6th, 9th and 12th month, you send a copy of your bill (I just download it from the Vodafone website and email it to them) and they pay you back in installments (I get £30 each time)

I'm on my 11th month now, had 2 installments with no problems.

The day I got my order, I cancelled the free insurance and helpline which took about 2 minutes, they didn't even try and convince me to stay.

Type anything with "problems" on Google and you'll get plenty of results, no matter what the product is.

Everyone is happy to complain when they have a problem, but hardly anyone bothers to post something nice about a company when they don't have any problems.

I saw people complaining about not receiving cashback, so I checked twice with them which bills to send, and when, and I've had no problems. If people aren't clever enough to work out/confirm when to send a bill off to get their cashback, they should have taken the free gift or the instant cashback offer instead.

Which is why when you do the search you put the ""s round mobiles.co.uk ie "mobiles.co.uk" then problems so that the search looks at mobiles.co.uk first followed by problems second ;)
Regardless of which all you have to do is compare the number of complaints on this forum with any of the other mobile retailers and mobiles.co.uk wins hands down in the complaints race !!!

Quite agree with that and I'm sure that theres lots who have had no problems ....however what sorts the wheat from the chaff is how the companies deal with the problems and in mobiles.co.uk's case they are probably the worst I've come across.

Theres been lots of people who have sent in the correct bills and have been fobbed off with all sorts of excuses by saying incomplete details / not received / not replying to emails when they've asked which bills to send / etc etc
Just because you've had a good experiance from them doesn't help those who have and it most certainly does not help by saying they are not clever enough ;)

And they are usually from first time posters and certain members just happen to be around on the forums at that exact time to say how bad the company is ;)

Not that a person like yourself would do something like that :o
