Had a fab supper last night out of the cheap and easy cookbook (PM me for the author) - layers of porridge oats, tinned chopped toms and grated cheese with a salad of grated carrot (I'm eating so much carrot these days and cheese I fear I might turn into an orange mouse lol) and cabbage
Alas I blew it on the ice cream but coffee ice cream out of the expensive ice cream book is like so good...

Sorry, I'm delirious, it's so long since I've seen the sun I nearly forgot what it looked like.
Hope you're all having a good day
Back later
Me three!.. :rotfl:Used to love the Bisto ads!. And the great thing about it is that it doesnt contain anything 'animally' so is great for making gravy mixed with veg water. Not sure about those 'instant' gravy types though, never used those, just the original gravy powder. If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them~Dalai LamaHow people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours~Wayne DyerLet none find fault in others. Might ask one of my friends, she's much better with herbs than I am - or Geebee will probably know
Sorry, Ames, didn't mean to confuse you
Spoon... There are a few cotton lavender 'breeds' (for want of a better word) as i said before though, they are NOT lavendar as such. Without getting too scientific, they are from the Asteraceae family, this includes daisies, sunflowers etc. The common Lavender is from the Lamiaceae family. There are other little bits of important stuff that makes the plants what they are, but the cotton lavender is often confused as being 'Lavender' when it actually isnt. Confused?.. yes, i dont blame you. :rotfl:
Depending on the type of plant you have, some can be used for cooking, BUT as with all herbs, caution is recommended. Many herbs can react badly with prescription medication, and particularly with certain types of medication.

NP, I've just posted on the greenfingered board. Hopefully they can clear it up!
I was a bit confused, one site said that you can get a rash from the crushed leaves, then another said it's good for cuts, and a few said you can eat it.
I think the confusion comes because there are a few different bushes of the cotton lavendar. Sensitive skin can react and come out in a rash. Some kinds should not be used neat on the skin etc etc. Although herbs can be great, you really do have to know what you are doing with them, some can be extremely dangerous if used incorrectly.
