Sorry, I'm delirious, it's so long since I've seen the sun I nearly forgot what it looked like.

Hope you're all having a good day

    Evening everyone:hello:

Hope you have all had a good day. Weather here is quite chilly and we've had a bit of rain, I was thinking about putting the heating on this morning:eek:

Erme - Sorry you are having a tough time with your mum, hope things get better soon. Well done on all the baking:T

Allie - Glad you enjoyed your night out

Spoon - Good to hear you've had some of the bright yellow stuff today:T I'm feeling a bit better now but still have doubts:o

Ames - It's like that near where I live too, the Old Kent Road on a weekend is a nightmare with all the ''churches'' up there and they park where the hell they like and never seem to get a ticket either!

Hope you have all had a good Saturday. Haven't done much myself just a bit of grocery shopping.

Now Handy has really given his age away. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I remember most of those Handy, except Four Feather Fall's. I was looking recently to get my GD a CD of all the songs I remember from children's hour like Sparky & his magic piano, pink toothbrush, gilliegillieosenwhat'sitsname etc. Though really I want it for myself:o

The sun's been out here and it's been quite warm. But there's been a strong wind so I couldn't enjoy it.

I looked at the lavender, and it's cotton lavender, I've never seen any flowers on it so is it still ok to use in food?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

IF's got me going now, I wonder if UTube has The Ovaltine song.
4 Feather Falls was a puppet show @ 1959 -60 where the Feathers in the sheriff's hat were magic and his guns could shoot themselves. This was in the days of the test card before 3.00 pm and the national anthem at 10.30 pm.

The house I lived in until the 70's had no electric. I had to watch telly at my grans or the farm a mile up the road. In some ways it was a great way ro grow up. You read, listen'd and made your own entertainment, didn't cost much either.:)

If any one wonders I'm not proud I'm on the low side of a half century.
Just remember that 50 is now the new 30.

    Cheers all, handy.:D

It was a great time to grow up, we used to have a b&w telly, as did most people who had telly's but I remember when colour tellies came out and my aunt got one, everyone used to say oooh we can't watch that it hurts our eyes, don't think I would want one I'll stick with me b&w (but really they all wanted one but couldn't afford it!):)

Do you remember saturday morning pictures at the ABC - 'we are the boys & girls well known as minors of the ABC....' I used to love that- it was total mayhem!

We used to play games in the street, two balls up the wall, alleygobs, tin can tommy etc. kids today don't know how to make their own games. Also, you can't let them play out anymore, although it doesn't stop the ferrel kids:o
