Afternoon all,
Thanks to Fermi for posting the info. I for one am tired of idiots forcing their opinions onto newbies and other forum users looking for advice/support. Please don't let anyone bully you into being afraid to post a thread or ask a question. There are no stupid questions, just occasional stupid answers from trolls. If the trolls can't say anything good, perhaps they shouldn't say anything at all!If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Bumping Fred, he was slipping.
I got the Ilkley Literature Festival brochure through this morning, loads of people I want to see and it's really cheap, between £3 and £5 for most of them, since I get a couple of pounds off each ticket. I'll be able to get looooads of books signed! I think I might have to get a glass fronted bookcase for them, they're starting to build up.
Just taken my life in my hands going to Aldi, there's a seveth day Adventist church round the corner and on a saturday the roads are full of cars parking on double yellows, even the ones with the extra line on the pavement, so there's a couple of junctions and bends where there's really reduced visibility.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Handy - hope the doggles don't get too wet on their walk - i did originally read your post as saying "need wellies for dogs" and i thought 'how posh are your dogs?!'
Hi all. Hi Allie, I wish my dogs would wear wellies. X3 that's 12 little wet paw prints across the kitchen floor when we get back. The Old Lab would wear a hat and raincoat if I let him, he's so soft.
I tried raincoats on the terriers once. They just scowled at me and said I was ruining their street cred.:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway Sun ans Showers here now. The roads are jammed with tourists so I'm glad I don't need to go out again, apart from dog walking.
Catch you all later.
Cheers, handy.:DMother Nature Don't Draw Straight lines, We are Broken Moulds in Life's Grand Design, We look a Mess but we're doing fine,

Hey guys had a fab time @ PL..Got my loaf tins (and they look pretty sturdy) and like a trowel and fork for guerilla gardening a neglected raised bed (do I need compost guys? What do I plant? I have salad leaves and a sage plant and that's about it) and like some other bits and bobs...
So looking forward to my GG....going to get veggies on my doorstep (if the local hoodlums don't pull them up!!!)...
Blessings

Not really a veg gardener, Erme, but drainage is vital, so you will probably need to dig some compost through the soil. Weed it thoroughly though before you start or the weeds will choke anything you plant. Herbs are probably a good place to start, not too much compost for most of them and, if you're planting mint, keep it in a pot or it'll be everywhere.
I'm sure Handy can give you some proper tips, but hope this is a start - good luck. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
