  • Hi all, Handy's been busy again. I'm trying to finish off that little 5 minute job a mate asked me to do in the evenings.

4 evenings and £20.00 in petrol and I have to go back tomorrow. I'm down £15.00 on materials already, and I don't think I'll see a penny for it:mad:

Sometimes trying to help those that won't help themselves is expensive.
I would rather folk's tell me it's going to be a charity job before I start. I would still do it as I hate to see people stuck. But to find out that the broken door was in a rented property that the landlord won't fix because the damage was self inflicted. (Boot through panel cos keys were inside).
    Stretches even my good nature.

Rant over, How is everybody. Busy day I see.:D
    Cheers, handy.

Hugs for you Handy, that's just not far at all :(

baked tattie was yummy, thanks for all the cooking tips peeps :) you're all stars...hmm, maybe we should produce a NTN cookery book?!!! :D

Wouldn't it get a bit boring though? Every page would be some variation of cake in one hand and alcohol in the other...

the only tip i have was one of my mum's really - she used to make a 50:50 mix of grated raw carrot and grated cheese for putting on baked potatoes - it used less cheese and was healthier for it, it's also really yummy! sounds mad i know but it is nice i promise!!
Sounds really nice actually. *adds grated carrot and potatoes to shopping list* Would you pop it back in the oven to melt and go gooey? *wipes chin*

Unfortunately most of that money was for THAT holiday which, although we went as guests, cost us a lot for kennels, travel, clothes and spending money, though we did clear two smaller debts with some of it. Although we could not really afford it, the offer of a holiday of a lifetime was too much to turn down

But from now on, all our moneymaking efforts are definitely going on the debts though

But just because you have a few debts doesn't mean you should enjoy yourself once in a while.;)

    I agree 100% Swanny.

3Dogs if you had turned down the offer of that holiday, you would have kicked yourselves for ever. You had a brilliant time and have some great memories, now you can get back to debt busting with a vengeance.

Due to the holiday, you've proved you can make money from ebay, car boots etc, stick with it, you'll get there. As Allie says, there's definitely light in the tunnel

Sounds scrummy, Allie, will have to try that. Few drops of worcester sauce and some black pepper, under the grill for a couple of minutes until the cheese goes gooey..... drool, know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow then:D
