Morning All :hello:
Weather looks a bit brighter here today too although still quite windy.
Handy - You're a bit of a soft touch it seems, like me (prob like most of us), if people need your help you can't say no even though 9 times out of 10 it costs you money:o How are MIL & Mrs H?
3Dogs - Agree with everyone else about the holiday, no way you should've not gone on it, the debts can wait a little;)
Allie & Spoon - All this talk of jacket spuds brings back memories of bonfire night when I was a kid. My dad would always come home on bonfire night and take us over the local shop to choose our fireworks then he would load the oven up with jacket spuds and we'd wrap up and go out to let off the fireworks, when we came back I used to love the smell of the potatoes when we walked in and they were delicious with loads of butter. Is it just me or doesn't butter taste like it used to?
Have a good day all.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Same here, Numpty, had a bit of sunshine earlier, now it's cloudy, blowing a gale and just started raining (again:mad::mad::mad:). All we need is some hail and snow and that will just about top it off for the day:D
Morning everyone
Hope you're all well today.
Thanks for the coffee 3Dogs, just what I needed. I might be able to rustle up some snacks later - watch this space;);)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

BL it was like that when I was a little kid too. baked potatoes and pie and peas with mint sauce, and a bonfire in the back garden and some fireworks. And melted dustbins and washing lines.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Ames, you're forgetting the wee circle of scorched grass as well!!
I used to remember coming in from school on cold winter days when it was pitch black outside and my mum would have the tatties in the oven ready for our tea and I'd wait (im)patiently for them to be ready (actually, some things never change!) but it was the sort of meal that would warm you up from inside and keep you warm all night
i could live of baked potatoes i think.....would that be bad for my health?!Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter0 -

Sometimes we used to go to my Aunt's cos she had a garden and then we would have a bonfire, we used to bend the wire on the sparklers and hang them on the washing line and light them all up. We used to have a bonfire too, all the old furniture was kept for that purpose but my Uncle put a stop to it when his shed set alight:eek:AllieBallie wrote: »Ames, you're forgetting the wee circle of scorched grass as well!!

I don't think they are bad for you rather what you might put on them, like LOADS of butter, cheese etc, I love 'em and I don't care whether they're bad for me or not:o:)(not as bad for me as smoking:o)I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Hiya - see that the topic of conversation hasn't changed on here - Food Food Food - nowt wrong with that after all we need to eat don't we? So we might as well enjoy it

Nothing at the car boot this morning - only 9 stalls but Tuesdays are new so it will need to build up - hubbie made an executive decision all by himself last week (round of applause please :T :T :T) and he is going to start doing the car boots properly again - Tuesday, Friday and Sunday - he is fed up doing nothing and needs to be more active so I am checking with DWP about him signing off Incapacity and giving it a try - will have to see how he manages and obviouly he'll have to make up for the loss of his Incap money first but we will see - it will be better for him I'm sure
I think they may allow him to do it one day a week or so to try it out first and still keep his beneft but we'll see
We just can't see ourselves doing them and not declaring it - as most people do round here - so will do everything properly and have a clear conciousMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
