Yes the 20% advisors commission!0 -
Nope - I don't understand, and I am blaming it on the fact I am on the verge of some sort of breakdown..........seriously!!!
I can't even understand the weather reports at the moment, so until my head is clear I have no chance of understanding this malarky!!I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -

OK SS and Jessica, I'm determined to give this a shot so will devote a day after pay day to sit and work through it all. A few hundred £ would be so useful to me so I'm going to work it out somehow. I may be back with some daft questions...Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

The easiest way I can explain it is that you bet on something happening and then not happening - so whatever happens you both win and lose. With your own money this roughly cancels each other out (you actually lose a few pennies)
eg win = win £100 at bookies, lose = win £100 at betting exchange
By doing this you have qualified at the bookmakers for a free bet - an incentive to encourage you to 'gamble' (but you arent gambling because you are backing both sides of the coin).
This time when you place the two bets (to happen and not to happen) only half the bet is with your money so you are going to get a return - roughly equal to the free bet amount (its always a bit less as you will lose pennies on both the first and free bet).
The last bit sounds complicated but you need to work it through with an example - and theres loads of those in the threads SS has liked to above.
You can then withdraw this amount back to your debit card and it is yours to keep.
The whole aim is not to make any money from the paid bets - if done correctly they will always cancel each other out (almost) - it is the free bets that you are going after and how the money is made - through the magic of mathematics the correct amounts can be placed on both outcomes to ensure a return.
Just a word of caution - please please please please dont lay out any money until you are 110% happy with the theory/practice of what you are doing - if done incorrectly it could cost you a lot of money. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

I'm too lazy to work it all out for myself.
I've got a stake. Can you tell me what to do and when, and I'll give you 10%?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I've tried to get my head around it a few times, but I think I need a bit of one-to-one help! Any offers? No longer visiting these forums.0

Hi there,
I just read your post re: matched betting. I was the same, had a look a few months ago and got nowhere. Still don't
so therefore, how about this. If you tell me what bets to lay and where, I will pay you 30% of the profit as commisionIe you say join here etc and place this bet and if I make £300 per month, you get ~£100
If this appeals to you, let me know
Regards
