Folks, if you haven't already then have a read about matched betting. It's really easy free money when you have got your heads around it and I would love as many of you as possible to make as much as possible! :j
Have a read of these, then re-read them, then read them again.

Then post any questions you have here;

Seriously peeps, I've made £350 since August 17th for maybe 15-20 hours work.

I really, really want to do this but have read all the threads and can't get my head around it. Maybe it's my pregnancy porridge brain. I'd be interested to hear how people get on though and have bookmarked this thread for future use.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

I know exactly how you feel. I first looked at it last year but gave up.
Try writing it down as you go along and also keep this in mind. It helped me.
When the newbie guide talks about 'laying' bets, try and think of it as you acting as the bookmaker. Laying a bet of £10 basically means me saying, 'Mrs S, if you come and bet £10 with me I'll give you odds of 2.5'!0 -

It's not just you. Honest. Everyone struggles to grasp the concept but when you do you wonder why the hell you couldn't get it first time! :rotfl:
Try downloading the matcher spreadsheet (found on the second link) aswell and play with that. It all helps!0 -

I found it really complicated and had to read everything a few times over the space of a couple of months and then work through numbers on a few 'practice' runs before I put any real money behind it.
I would advise people to keep some cash aside for it though - making the money is fairly easy once you get your head around it - but you can need a bit of upfront cash to match off some of the bets (you get it all back though)The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

Don't be put off by this though. I reckon you only need £100 to get started and you aren't risking this money. It simply sits in a betting account rather than your bank account and the profits you can make from it far outweigh any interest you could make on it!
If there are any questions feel free to post them on here and myself and jessicamb will answer them (she doesn't know this yet).
