We have a flower arranging board? Cool.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

!
They certainly use cookies, because SUPERAntiSpyware keeps on picking them up for me.
In any case, attempting to track people via cookies, IP addresses, and etc is just a waste of time, because as a rule these things change/ are deleted / are removed by SUPERAntiSpyware.
Google adware works by... well... efectively installing a trojan in your computer and recording all the sites you visit. It's called the google toolbox.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Also, when I used to work and logged in several times when skiving (ie mean, of course, having my lunchbreak) at the office PC which did not have static IPs, and then came home and logged on at the laptop, and I'm with AOL so again don't have static IPs. Does that mean that I could have been counted as a new user each time?
Actually I only clicked onto this thread to see if mewbie, AD, and Mr thingy would make an appearance in disguise. I really miss them.0 -

Its futile really.
But no. You would have only been counted as a unique visitor in the google stats if you cleared your cookies.
But each PC you used, would have a cookie based on it. So say you used 5 PC's, which you never cleared the cookies on, you would have been seen as 5 unique visitors.
The IP has nothing to do with it. The IP only comes in to play when MSE wish to change your priviliges within this forum software. IP's can also be used, via the ISP to track down users.
You could have 5, 10, 55 different IP addresses on the same connection in a single month, and still be counted as the same individual user on the google statistics.
But, if you clear your cookies at the end of every day, and log in every day in a 30 day month, you would be counted as 30 unique (i.e different) visitors.0
