Your OP uses figures derived from google analytics. You said I was wrong and they use IP's to gain these figures, not cookies.
You then said I couldn't be so stupid as to suggest they used cookies.
No lets get this clear I suggested they did the figures on IP tracking.
I then said that tracking cookies was even less reliable. You cant even begin to think users are unique because of their cookie history?
If you erase your cookies you are a new user.
Any more ways you want to twist it?
To state again you can use IP tracking through the app. Is it that out outlandish to think they use it seeing they use it to ban people?0 -

Well they don't.
End of argument as far as I'm concerned, as the pictures are making their presence known.
The only thing I did do in my first reponse, which I'm not sure why, but I am writing a piece about the network here at the moment is put "network" into the equation, which was wrong. So I'll edit that, but I don't want anyone thinking I have changed it on the sly. Perfectly happy to admit where I have made a mistake, and I dunno why "network" appeared there, but everything else I have said I;m completely happy with.0 -
Well after all that, we know one person did not get the joke.
I presume the ones mentioned appreciated it.0 -

Oh jeez.
Google Analtics has NOTHING to do with the forum applications they use to ban users. Nothing, nadda. The OP is about google analytic figures!!!!
I'm gonna cry.0 -

Being In IT I can assure you it is because you typed it in

Oh right. I didn't realise.
Here we go then.......
If someone is banned while viewing the google analytics on firefox with their cookies disabled then all they have to do to be un-banned is reboot their browser while holding down the hash key on their router and then re-register using a random name generator derived from your IP address.
But this only works if the forum software is swithched to enable.

It has nothing to do with banning butt banning proves they track IP's
come off it graham, it is easy to see what I am saying, we know they track IP's so why would it be outlandish to think they do not use it for other tracking.
Your gonna cry, :eek:0 -

Not bad, either that or uses an anonymous Proxy Server.:)0 -
Would this debate be better off on this thread? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/35404807#Comment_35404807 where MSE are patting themselves on the back?
Good idea.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
