And in respect of professionalism of website - spelling and grammatical errors, 'cheap' prices, hotmail contact address, dodgy terms and conditions - "the Merseyside Courts"!!!! Can spot this as a scam a mile off.
And a quick WHOIS search and it is a Chinese website.0 -

Indeed!
The thing that instantly struck me was the phrase "beware imitations" next to the logo! ALARM BELLS....."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

I genuinely feel sorry for people who are duped into thinking they are buying original stuff. But for those who are knowingly buying counterfeit stuff, I have zero sympathy when their product doesn't live up to expectations.
Many years ago when embarking upon my legal career I was involved in some anti-counterfeit work. The "replica" industry is so unbelievably sleazy and causes so much pain and suffering to so many people in the supply chain. It has been said that there are even links to Al Qaeda and other terrorist organisations although I never saw that. What I have seen thoough is evidence of the sweat shops in China, India, Bangladesh and many other countries where these so called products are made.
Why anyone regards it as moneysaving to buy products which are not properly tested or developed, do not have the same quality or performance as original products and are very likely to be dangerous is beyond me. For me, if those that knowingly buy fake GHD buy them as they cannot afford the real product, why not buy a cheaper alternative as others have posted links to?
I really do think people who knowingly buy fakes need locking up - either as being insane or as criminals.

I had GHDs a while ago and had them for 5 years until they blew up (apparently it's quite common?!) so replaced them with the 'BaByliss 2088U Pro 230 Elegance Bronze Straightener' and they work just as well!
These were about £30 from Amazon as opposed to the £100+ I paid for the GHDs at a hairdressers!I'm another babylis pro 230 fanThey heat up just aswel! I got pink ones for about £30 when babylis started to discontinue them. Then at xmas i bought my mum some blue ones for £30 ish from amzon x
Pro 230's are brilliant. Mine cost me £17 from Sainsburys a wee while back. I caved to the pressure of the 'amazing' GHDs when i got a great deal on them from ASOS. They cost me nearly 4 times as much as my Babyliss ones and they are no better.
I will be selling them to a colleague as i have only used them twice. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I've used my friends GHD's and they really are not a patch on the babyliss. I think I made the right choice0
