Jellie wear what you feel comfortable in. I just applied bare minimum makeup and it worked fine even though I thought my forehead looked dry before applying and a bit patchy lol.

Oh yes, BTW I am a MRS now and it was a FANTASTIC day, well worth it, so enjoy the run up to yours and I'll bet you're not nervous on the day

Hi Jellie - I use bodyshop tinted moisturiser - I am allergic to lots of things but am usually okay with that. Try it with an antihistamine and see how you get on...

Also started thinking about wedding makeup. I rarely wear it and can't get anyone in to do it as it makes my eyes water when they do! I'm trying to research what you should wear when photographs are being taken. I want a natural glowing look with no bags under my eyes! Happy to spend a bit on makeup I can wear other times but trying to figure out what to get has made my head spin. I think I need to work out a brand that gets good recommendations and then over the next couple of months go to their counter and try things out.

I can recommend Yves Saint laurent - Touche Eclat no1 (not no2 that is a concealer )http://beauty.about.com/od/concealers/gr/toucheeclat.htm for under your eyes, it's like a concealer only much lighter. It will get rid of dark shadows therefore disguising bags, you can also use it to highlight cheekbones and dab it over your top lip for pouty lips, but not a trout pout! I swear by it. It's about £21 but well worth it, it'll last months and months.Hope that helps
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

    Spammed!!

Just catching up but I think Benefit is amazing and the YSL pen are amazing! Go to the counters and get some samples to try, normally the staff on these counters are really good. I brought Benefit for my wedding and it still worked out cheaper than paying someone to do and I had products that lasted months.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!
    Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight

Clinique can be quite good for sensitive skin.

I use dermalogica tinted moisturiser - you should be able to get a sample of that from a salon that does dermalogica or maybe from their website?

You could try Avon - if you have a rep they may be able to give you some advice/samples and suggest colours at a good price?

Alternatively what about Virgin? I had a friend who did Virgin Vie and she did my wedding make-up. They get some advice/training in colours to suit you. I look back now and think it looked really good. I'd recommend them.

Thanks for all the help everyone- am intrigued with the spam!

I've accidentally misled you all- my eyes watering is just psychological. As soon as someone comes near my eyes I start crying! Used to be a nightmare when I was a kid as I got conjunctivitis a lot and washed the medicine straight out! It just means i have to do my eye makeup myself. Have relatively sensitive skin but am usually ok with good quality stuff!

I usually use touch! !clat if I'm dressing up for a rare night out but I'd heard that if you wear light deflecting concealer in photos you get White bags under your eyes in photos. I thought I'd need a more matte one. What do you all think?
