I have been working on the following motivators
- getting under the next £10k (when it's close)
- getting under a certain interest amount per month (when its close)
- getting under a certain interest amount per day (when it's close)
- knocking a month off the term
This way each target seems close and easier to achieve.0 -

Thats what I do, but its each 1K drop, each 10p drop in interest

I'm possibly already there radish
Saving- don't worry we're staying realistic! We've basically got a minimum level we want to achieve and should be relatively painless but are aiming higher whenever possible. While we are both earning a decent wage we need to do all we can as when our fixed rate ends in 4 and a bit years we need to be in best position possible to get the best deal. OH will be looking to move job after retraining and will have big pay cut and I would love to be able to go part time for my health! Who knows what mortgage rates will be like!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Just been catching up Jellie. I find that the introduction played by the organist helps people with the tune for hymns, pick the ones you want. I'm sure by the third chorus more of the congregation will be singing!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thanks guys! Baby steps as they say.
I'm actually trying to monitor our accounts every day for a month. Quite interesting!
Had a NSD yesterday and free lunch and dinner at work.
Have started keeping an eye on my mpg for journeys to keep it as high as possible, as well as avoiding driving when I can.
Having a meal out tonight- not that MSE but on the plus side we're walking and it will save electricity as the tv will be off :-)2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Yep- no point having no life at all just to enjoy it more in 10 years time!
Managed to get the wedding rings yesterday- better price than budgeted for so we're happy. Also started thinking about wedding makeup. I rarely wear it and can't get anyone in to do it as it makes my eyes water when they do! I'm trying to research what you should wear when photographs are being taken. I want a natural glowing look with no bags under my eyes! Happy to spend a bit on makeup I can wear other times but trying to figure out what to get has made my head spin. I think I need to work out a brand that gets good recommendations and then over the next couple of months go to their counter and try things out.
Severely lacking motivation to do anything today so trying to have a good break. Have just done my reading for book club and might watch some tv.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0
