Jellie that's brilliant, you should be so proud of yourself. We forget what the little things add up to in the day to day grind, so well done0

Thanks very much all. I had a bad day yesterday but watching DIY SOS cheered me up again. Having read Mike's diary over on DFW it was amazing to see.
So many of the things I've achieved this year have been down to the support and advice on here. Thanks to everyone who has helped me stay motivated and for bothering to post in my diary!
I've been working on my goals and challenges for next year and will post them later.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Hey Jellie! :j
Well done on all your achievements this year! You should be very proud of yourself! I did watch DIY SOS last night too, and it was fantastic to see the results of what MSE power can do.. Glad Mike is now sorted out with his house...:D
You are an inspiration to many Jellie (me included)!! I will be following your progress with great interest!!
Go Jellie GO!
Cheers

No- we really have everything we need and although there are things we'd like and might buy ourselves it doesn't seem right to ask for things from family and friends in our situation as it is second marriage for both of us.
I bet people will ask you though...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Thanks Froggy- am starting to panic about how to reach our targets this year! Have to keep reminding myself that it doesn't matter and any progress is good.
Just spent £150 on paint and stuff to get started on decorating  it was at 15% off too. Then again would be lots more to get someone to do it for us.
Grateful- we really can't decide how to deal with this! Keep changing our minds! With close family if they ask then I will suggest that they contribute something to the wedding itself e.g. Mum is paying for cake and bridesmaid dress, brother and SIL are broke so just getting SIL to make the cake. Can't decide whether to say something on invite like your presence is present enough??
Can you tell I feel anxious for no reason todayGuess it is watching the holiday slip by.
I tried to do a memory girl tree for my target for MFW 2011 but my drawing is pants :rotfl: Think I will go back to doing a ticker like my DFW one.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Several- was thinking of suggesting donations. Feel really uncomfortable with this kind of thing!
Thanks YB!
Have just painted feature wall in library area teal. It looks very patchy, I accidentally used the long hair roller!! Hopefully will look better after a second coat. Now to do the other Walls!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Friends have stuck something on the invitations saying what you suggested "Your presence is present enough, but if you would like to make a donation to .............on our behalf then here's the website."
Some of my good friends are involved in a charity that I am very very suspicious about and not regulated in the UK, and wanted donations for their wedding, I donated a tenner or some small amount and them bought them some flowers for the decorations since I am fairly convinced that the charity exists mainly to give one English couple a cushy lifestyle in Africa...

Wow- that must put you in a difficult situation at times!
First coat finished in library area :-)
Funny how when I have work to do by Tuesday suddenly I get motivated to decorate, declutter, tackle paperwork......anything but do the work!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0
