Had a lovely day at my brothers and went to outdoor nativity Carol service with family. have just made cheese straws and sausage rolls for boxing day.
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas- sorry if I don't have time to drop into diaries for the next couple of days. Looking forward to catching up!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Had 2 NSDs in a row
Boxing Day went fine. Everyone liked everything I cooked. Now I'm trying to figure out how to use up the leftovers! Going to start by making a couple of soups and probably a cheesy pasta bake.
Time to start thinking about plans and targets for next year in detail. Am going to keep wedding budget separate in calculations so I don't get too confused.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Glad you had a lovely time. I managed two NSD's too lol. Had to go and buy milk today though.0

I 'had' to buy a couple of rugs and replace a broken clock!
Have been waiting for the sales. Only a couple more things to buy and I need to get back to frugality for the new year!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Replacing items is not a bad thing and very sensible to get in the sales. There was lots I could have bought today for the house, but to be honest we don't really need it just want it so it can wait.0

We decided to treat ourselves a bit over Christmas to make up for being careful during the year. We have a treat list of things we want but are frivolous or wants not needs. I get the feeling that the things we wanted to get to tie in the colour schemes in our open plan rooms will be out of fashion next season. Seemed best to put them to the top of our list! Also couldn't resist the rug that will go in the hallway at £20! The rug for the lounge is a big one and was £56 when most i'velooked at have been at least £150. the good thing is that the things we have bought for the house should last a very long time! Family have given some great christmas gifts which tie in perfectly!
Am working on goals for next year. The overall one will be to live simply and enjoy the abundance we have. Lots of subgoals under this and although I will do my usual thing of focusing on a different one each month I'm not going to get bogged down by the lists as that defies the overall objective. I'll just focus on one thing for each month and ideally after a month it will have become a habit anyway! I'm going to take a month off to enjoy the wedding and honeymoon so like others that will leave me with a list of 11 things for 2011!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Sounds like wedding plans coming together. We planned ours in 7 weeks and didn't have time to think about the extras so missed out on a lot of things. I think we spent around £2000 but have been married almost 7 years now. I do wish it had been a bit more fancy but we didn't have the money so that was that. Such a shame DD snapped our wedding DVD a few months ago! Trying not to see it as a sign!
I think you deserve to treat yourself on things for the house. Personally I am much happier at home when it's got new stuff in it - makes me clean and tidy more too. That reminds me - must search for my dining table which is covered in random things at the moment!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
