Well done on your NSD! How about offering to cook a meal for the housewarming present?Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Good idea Squirrel- unfortunately several others beat me to that one and they seem to have got the kitchen sorted out already!!
I'll have a hunt and see if there is anything in the pressie box. Otherwise I might have to get my crafting hat on!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I just ordered a magazine sub with my clubcards too and it said 8 weeks on the letter. I'm not too fussed as it is for DH, and i can always hide any if they do come earlier.0

Thanks for that Michelle. Will just send them off when I get them and hope I time it right! Hopefully adults won't get too upset if it's early!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

Looks like I lost a post yesterday! Have a small blip in the money neutral pressies for this year. Was thinking of getting cutlery for OH's bday and happened to buy a mag which had a really good deal in it for the make and type I wanted to get! It's 100 piece too. Expensive but we wanted decent stuff so it lasts as our current cheap stuff is falling apart!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

Cutlery has arrived! Now have to figure out the best way to wrap it as it doesn't include a box. I desperately want to tell OH now!
Really need to get back to doing some sewing again- will probably have forgotten everything I've learnt! I need to get started on learning to adjust clothes and patterns too. Have a few items I don't really wear which would probably look much better with some adjustment! Also several trousers need taking up!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Agreed! What a fun idea! Might make Christmas crackers. :rotfl:
OH has made a request for a decent toaster for his birthday and Christmas. £200
Had no idea you could even spend that much on a toaster!
Am going to get it as well as the cutlery as I think he needs some treats to balance the frugality! I'm hoping to get some money for Christmas so with any luck the splurge on his pressies will end up money neutral!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
