    Thanks both.
Been busy and tough going recently. My grandma has just died so am a bit distracted. Have finally got round to doing an update for my sig. Just posting it here so I can look back and see progress!
    Mortgage paid £289 678.48/£295 000
    Interest paid £6 748.53

    Offset accounts £21 581.14

Realistically payments to wedding and for house stuff mean we probably won't make huge progress over the next couple of years.
We want to keep the offset above £20 000 at all times. We're aiming to increase it by at least £1000 per month but things like new windows, roof repairs and wedding costs will probably eat most of that up as we go this year.

    Thanks for thinking of me!
I'm feeling a bit down at the moment and have compounded it by splurging a bit on clothes so I now feel a bit guilty. I need to get back on track with my spending! I seem to spend all my time trying to get to work and then recovering from work! Am starting to get behind as I don't have enough energy to work at the evenings or weekends. Lots to do in the house and garden which I haven't the energy for either.
I'm sorting some stuff out on my computer today- doesn't take much energy but it is time consuming so at least I'm achieving something. Am speed reading a book at the same time- really need to start getting through them so I can get them to the charity shop and reclaim some more space. I need to practise my speed reading as I'm not that fast at the moment!!

  • Sorry to hear about your grandma.

I bet you feel like half term was a lot more than one week ago. Sounds like you have a lot going on at the moment.

Hi Jellie, just wanted to pop in and say hi to another fellow mfw :) Good luck with your target.

I should really sort stuff out in the house too and my garden looks a complete mess at the moment, I have really let it go. Its probably too late to cut the grass now and I really need to get a garden waste bin from the council.

It's weird that within a day of being back you feel like it was ages since you had a holiday! At least I get lots of them to make up for term time being so full on!

It's really difficult finding time to garden and when you get the time the grass is often too wet! We're getting a decent mower at the weekend which will help. Will try mowing with blades high to see if it really does pick up leaves like they said on gardener's world! We have a great garden but there is lots to do! Our neighbours are retired and their garden is always immaculate and full of year round interest. I reckon we might just about get there by the time we retire!
