To borrow a well worn phrase -sorry to hear you were misinformed but TV's are not included. I'm surprised you thought they might be - it only says small electrical items with in household section, and amazed that you were initially misled. The Store is correct, and if they had contacted Store support it would have been confirmed.

i saw 2 tvs being bought in my local yesterday without any problems

I thought they came out more often than that? I had some in May and I thought they were more often that twice a year. Seems daft introducing a scheme when nobody has their vouchers to use!

They normally go out four times a year i.e. every three months, but last year tesco did an extra mailing in December - the Christmas 'surprise', and this year Tesco did an extra one for Easter in March. Normally, they are Feb., May, Aug., & Nov.
People are now having their Aug vouchers - hence an opportune time Tesco believe to generate some extra retail activity.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

Just bought a £15 trampoline but. . . OH exchanged two £5 vouchers instead of just one! (Apparently customer services said he will need £20 worth for the £15 trampoline).
Now I have a £10 voucher (that expires) that can only be used on toys!

Any idea if Tesco will show any leniency?

I am getting so jealous of all the bargains people have managed to get!!

I am still waiting for my vouchers to arrive. I gave them a call yesterday just to check they are on the way and was told they can't check, I will just have to wait. If they have been lost in the post they will be reissued but will not be received until after this double up promotion is over.

I normally receive mine very early, but all my friends had theirs about a week ago ..........:o

Yes, I saw quite a few people buying TVs yesterday I don't know if it was just a coincidence but it did seem more than usual.

probably not I'm afraid, I asked for £60 in toys online vouchers but when I got home and was ready to use them , they turned out to be instore vouchers & according to tesco direct helpline they had a few calls like mine ( this was day 1 of the promotion ) , when I took them back I was told nothing could be done.
