'My name is Bunny and I am a compulsive eater'
I managed to eat almost an entire full big bag of crisps today whilst sitting in my car. *sigh*
Job centre went something like this...
Me: Hello, can you help me please-I am been made redundant and I am thinking if re-training?
Slug like girl behind the desk: Right, what you need to do is call this number (hands me a number) and tell them you have been made redundant and then they will give you an appointment to come see us here.
Me: Okaaaaay-so I need to go and call someone so they can tell me to come back here?
Slug Girl: Yes.
Me: Thanks.
I then went to ALDI to get some food and then had such a crushing feeling of failure, I managed to consume the above crisps-'cause that helps doesnt it?????!?!?!?!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Bun, if your appointment at the Job Centre isn't your local one ( in your town) then when you go, you may be able to claim travel expenses. I had to go to the JC in the next large town 15 miles away and they gave me £8 travel expenses for that appointment.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Oh Bun
That is infuriating for you  I would eat the crisps too, then I would go back and empty out the crumbs over the slug girl's head.

Luc~what excercise would you recommend for someone like your dad?
For Dad I have suggested walking - brisk enough to raise the heart rate and be slightly out of breathe - for about 30mins a day.
Probably not an option for you but swimming could be a good alternative. Rather than plodding back and forth for a bunch of lengths though I would suggest (depending on how good you swimming is) 4 widths walking, 1 or 2 lengths arms only, 1 or 2 lengths legs only and 1 or 2 lengths proper swimming - repeat until you can't take one more step/stroke. I would also suggest free weights, low weight high reps for toning and increasing lean muscle mass which raises the metabolism and helps the body use up more calories.
I would like to point out (particularly for any lurkers who read this) that I have no qualification in this other than my own experience and discussion with like minded people.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

I'm on hold to CCCS. Next step, Job seekers and Tax Credits.
DH said today that if the difference between me going to college full time vs. part time he thinks I should go P/T as the kids are still young and its worth the loss of wages for me to spend time with them. That made me very happy as I have never not worked-I was back at work 8 days after having DS.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Okay Bun time to get tough. STOP IT RIGHT NOW LADY!!!
FIRST: Stop belittling yourself and talking yourself down. You are a smart, attractive woman with more determination in your little finger than most of your employers to date seem to have in their entire organisation.
SECOND:It has NOTHING to do with you that the management of your last job did not have the foresight to put on hold recruitment which they could not afford. If things were so bad you could have pulled in thousands of advertising overnight and still not changed the situation. YOu were last in and first out and, quite frankly, an easy target because you were within probation.
THIRD: Do not let their lack of foresight send you into a downward spiral that leads to over eating and under exercising because that is giving them power over your happiness that they have no right to. You are doing so well on the surface, looking at retraining (and while we are being honest you would be a F A B hairdresser/beautician) and starting with something you want. DOn't internalise the disappointment and let it sabotage your personal goals to get fit and be healthier. You're better than that.
All right, tough talk over, now come and get a cuddle cos I loves ya x;)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
