Okay Bun time to get tough. STOP IT RIGHT NOW LADY!!!
FIRST: Stop belittling yourself and talking yourself down. You are a smart, attractive woman with more determination in your little finger than most of your employers to date seem to have in their entire organisation.
SECOND:It has NOTHING to do with you that the management of your last job did not have the foresight to put on hold recruitment which they could not afford. If things were so bad you could have pulled in thousands of advertising overnight and still not changed the situation. YOu were last in and first out and, quite frankly, an easy target because you were within probation.
THIRD: Do not let their lack of foresight send you into a downward spiral that leads to over eating and under exercising because that is giving them power over your happiness that they have no right to. You are doing so well on the surface, looking at retraining (and while we are being honest you would be a F A B hairdresser/beautician) and starting with something you want. DOn't internalise the disappointment and let it sabotage your personal goals to get fit and be healthier. You're better than that.
All right, tough talk over, now come and get a cuddle cos I loves ya x;)
Bunny, everything that Luc said is so true - it is 100% their problem and not yours. You obviously have the support of your fab OH so you can look upon this as a new chapter where you get to do what YOU want to do. :grouphug:

Bunny today I have phoned *clears throat* My University (30mins), My Uni's Finance department (45mins she didn't understand at all we were both v. confused), Student finance (hold30mins+10mins talking), Student Finance again (45mins), DLA (15mins). I'm so drained from it all how sad eh!! I hope you get through to everyone you need to. If it is any help I lost my job the other week. I feel so useless watching daytime tv all day while OH works his butt off full time. I have no left eye which means no sight in my left eye due to the cancer I had as a bubba, I struggle with confidence and going to new places by myself as I can't see. I know it's not major but no grant people will help me unless I claim DLA. So I rang them to see if they could help, the lady was lovely and said to me 'It's a shame, alcoholics get DLA but wee lassies like you sometimes don't'. That made me angry sorry if I offend anyone but I genuinely struggle sometimes with things like going shopping in busy places because I get so flustered people shout at me and walk into me and aaaaaaaaaargh. I don't want to claim it!! I don't want to be disabled, I just want a tiny bit of help so I can move forward
. She said to fill out the form online.... Now doing that, waiting for a big a** thunder storm!! rant over

*joins in with ranting*
I agree with everything Luc said...I actually forgot that you now can't see a human being if you are out of work you have to ring to make an appt first.....god forbid anyone should need any help. I had to prove I was out of work....despite the fact that I was sitting in front of them at the time with a baby on my knee.
Stop with the kneejerk reaction, its hard in your situation to sit and do nothing - BUT - just sit and think things through. Do what you want to do.....not what circumstances dictate...yes hard I know but if OH says do it then do it...You are very very hard on yourself sometimes...xxxxx

Apparently in Africa there's dead then there's more dead...If I told you, I'd have to kill you...then you'd be dead, so I'd have to kill you again.... Confused myself

Bunny, you've brought back memories about the Jobcentre. Hope I never have to go back or I might kill someone this time round!
I once asked them to sign a form to say I'd been - could only do it if I left it to be posted out! 2 second job for crying out loud!
Take the opportunity to go part time if that is what would suit you and the family. But ONLY if that is what YOU want.0 -
Right-chatted with lovely man at CCCS-he has lowered my payment for this month and it will be reviewed next month once I know what (if anything) I am getting for job seekers, tax credits etc. He said that Bankruptcy or an IVA are definite options-only problem with BR is the fact I am 'beneficial interest' in the house and DH would need to 'buy out' my half of the equity and pay the courts. Luckliy-thats not a hell of a lot (£10kish) DH said I should have done an IVA 5 years ago but I dont think that was an option then because I couldnt pay back enough.
I have had an application through for college and if I am reading it correctly-I will get a concession price for a course if I am on job seekers??Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
