The answer is none at all.
Let's say this scheme gets 1,000,000 signups.
As no-one seems to trust my calculations (see earlier in thread), can someone else get their calculator out and multiply 1,000,000 x 0?
I make it 0. Enough to run nothing, not even one single 1w led light.
And it'll remain thus for the next 11 hours or so. I still don't quite see how this helps things be greener. Especially as it'll increase bills so much for the rest of us to subsidise the most inefficient way of generating electricity possible.
But what do I know. I've only read 2 books about it, done my own calculations, got manufacturer data, spoken to George Monbiot, and looked at the experiences of Germany.0 -
I have just had a survey done on my property which is southwest facing and they say my property is fine, I will be having a system installed shortly which I am financing myself. Try another installer
If you are self-financing they will install it inside your loft;)
Any deviation from South will reduce the output slightly - their site survey should give you an estimate of annual output.
ASG presumably will only want a roof facing directly South whilst they have sufficient applicants, doubtless when(if) the supply of applicants dries up, they will allow a deviation from due South of ?? degrees.0 -
Did they not post "Facing South, give or take 30 degrees", when announcing they would consider smaller roofs?0

Hi
For those who are interested in getting their own panels, I have pasted the FITS earnings for Oct on my Blog. I have changed the monthly graphs so you can see how what we are earning, compares with what was predicted.

Hi
I just had a look at your website, I think it is excellent. I am a solar panel owner as well, and I keep my own data, though I am on a much lower tariff (9p/3p)
I did week by week for the first year, and then I lost faith in it all after the FIT dropped for me. Though clearly during all that time the panels were happily generating power.
I have now switched mains supplier (though not FIT supplier), so I am again keeping stats - mine will be a bit harder to sell than yours, so I'll have to do a very comprehensive pack for when I sell up! (you may not be thinking about selling up just yet, but it would be a very useful website if you were)
I keep the following stats:
Electricity Imported
Electricity Exported
Electricity Generated
It allows you to see how much you use in the home (which isn't much for me!)0 -
Nang - Just had a look at your graphs, but I useless at interupting them (well almost), how many kw did you generate this month? We reached 278 kw in N. Lincs.0

Very useful indeed - thanks for taking the time to make these figures available. It's very helpful to have some actual data.0 -

Just looked at the site, looks good ....
An idea to fix the performance baselines could be to feed the orientation, roof angles, locations and sizes of both systems into the PVGIS model, this would give you estimated generation outputs by month for direct comparison of relative performance between the arrays.
As an aside, 20x200Wp = 4kWp .... I take it that what you really mean is 3.9999...kWp ....
