This youngster is so full of himself that he uses his own name!
It appears that he uses the same ID on YouTube. Click here for his profile (remember to click "see full profile").
He's a 17-year old who should not have an eBay acount anyway and may still be attending the last of the schools mentioned.
Now, listing 190018238446 realised £82 for a dummy phone yet received positive feedback from the buyer! Can I help?0 -

Blimey, not too bright, is he? :rotfl:
Do you have to be 18 to have an account then?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Wow rdwarr, nice detective work! It seems murshed1987 must be another alias he's using, looking at the bidding history.rdwarr wrote:This youngster is so full of himself that he uses his own name!

I wonder how he's been allowed to carry on doing this? Even if he is technically mentioning the fact that these aren't real phones, the specifications listed are totally misleading. Surely eBay could use a bit of common sense and intervene, or if this actually exists as an allowed loophole, where do they draw the line? Could he have an even smaller font for the small print? Or hide it in an even more obscure way, as long as the truth is still mentioned somewhere?

Reported this guy to eBay as follows:
Buying and Finding > Fraud / problems with a purchase > The problem you're having with fraud isn't listed
Member or Item being reported: dprbirch 16
"Message: Seller has sold numerous 'mobile phones' in the mobile phone category but puts in small print that it is a dummy phone. He is achieving #180 to #250 and is ripping people off-check his feedback.
Another person adding to eBay's reputation for scams!"
And heres eBay's wonderfully inane response as ever:
"We are concerned about violations on our site and strive to thoroughly investigate each report we receive. Unfortunately, we are only able to accept reports of this nature through our Rules and Safety Web Form."
So eBay are saying thats for letting us know about a scammer but we cant do anything because you have not use the correct reporting form to let us know!!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHH. In the time it took them to send that email they could have dealt with the issue!
I like how his profile on YouTube says occupation 'phone seller'...not quite eh.0 -
Just reported him for being under age and for shill bidding.....if eBay dont act then I think we should get Martin to take this one up as an example of their ineffectiveness!0

I don't understand why ebay aren't taking an interest in this...that little ****** is misleading by pasting technicial specs on the page....a dummy phone won't have any of this...so he's lying!?!?!?
