Can't claim JSA for 13 weeks .....

Hi - I'm doing Volunteer work for 12 hours a week for the admin experience to put on my CV, I want to sign off the JSA because my advisors have been quite rude to me recently & non helpful.

Surely there must be some help I'd recieve, I suffer from migraines & have had agoraphobia in the past & have had both coming back but I'm kind off against using these for excuses.

If you are activly seeking employment you can claim JSA. If you want to do voluntary work and not claim JSA then there isnt anything else as this is your choice to do it.
There is DLA if you have care or motibilty needs but migraines wouldnt count

So I have to live on my savings then for 13 weeks?

surely a law must exist stating that you must have some help.

last time I checked agoraphobia & migraines was a medical condition,

Yes its a condition but to get DLA you must have care or motobility needs. Do you need help to do things everyday?
You can claim ESA but you may need to get put through a medical

The agoraphobia appears to have returned as a result of being told to go on a thirteen week New Deal course!
    Gone ... or have I?

    Hi - toni650 -
your as rude as my advisor - I'm not going back the jsa - I want to get the experience for my CV then get work.

thanks for the non help, people who make jokes about the agoraphobia should try it for themselves, being shut in a room for 13 weeks would bring it back, the past 2 in that room has brought it back to me & its not good.

    Either remain on JSA ...

and/or find out how to make a formal complaint about the staff

    and/or apply for a health/sickness related benefit.

Is your agoraphobia triggered when you are out of the house for long periods or do you also suffer it during your voluntary experience, too?

Are you receiving any support or treatment for it? Have you joined any local or national support groups for it, such as the following?

I thought agoraphobia was about a fear of going outside. If you are stuck in a room it should not be a problem.
