Chickens sorted, phone calls decluttered, dinner nearly ready (late!) and, most importantly, email sent to high up people including a particular Secretary of State!

:oI only knew Hex was in that area and I've already met her :o.

and I clearly put you off for life :p! There are lots of other east midlands fly ladies - mummyof5, juliejim, quillion, valli to name a few.
I need to go blackberry picking this week now! Is blackberry jam easy Hex/Valli?

I made jelly at the weekend and I am told it is very nice. I didnt do the over night drippy stuff like Valli though as I am really rather lazy and I found a recipe that said I didn't need to. I whizzed it in the food processor after the water cooking stage, and squeezed it through a fine nylon sieve. Like Valli I splattered most of the kitchen.

Grateful - Greenbee is very busy with work I think
Onestep - ouch, take it easy
MOJ2 - not easy for anyone, hope it all goes as well as it can.

We have been out all day today so not a huge amount. We got back at 7pm and since then I have emptied and filled the DW, stripped, washed and dried our bedding, ironed my work stuff and prepped a picnic for DH and the boys tomorrow.

DH did his first full day with the boys on Friday - covering 9.30 to 3.30, with the assistance of 18yo SS1. He was so tired he had to go to bed at 9pm :rotfl:. Welcome to my world.......

    ....is knackered.

Work all day then home, told hubby the bad news, he doesn't thnk its bed bugs, maybe dust mites or chicken lice or summat.

Anyway the bedroom has been gutted, everything and I mean everything either has been or queueing up for a boil wash.

Most stuff moved out of our bedroom

    Bed hoovered

    new beeding on

    new duvet on

    new pillows on

    wiped, disinfected hoovered everywhere

binned 3 large bags of rubbish

lugged and tugged furniture to hoover everywhere.

Funnily enough just gone to put the chickens away and then felt the crawling sensation, and I had a few teeny tiny crawlies on my arms where I'd picked the chickens up so they're obviously infested with lice....need to treat them.

    I'm off for a shower because I feel v. itchy...hopefully whatever they are/were they've gone.

If not, I'm going to be very upset.
