  • Morning all,

I've been laid low for the past few days with some form of flu bug so I still hav'nt caught up with the thread. I think I will draw a line and start again. Not been af as I have been going to bed early with a hot [STRIKE]totty[/STRIKE] toddy.

I've also been told my foot has an infection and am on antibio's starting today. The up side is that they are the ones that react badly to alcohol so I am assured to be af for the next week or so.

    Hope everyone is doing OK.

I am aiming for a sober weekend, a 48 hour challenge I guess, if anyone wants to join me? :)

Am a very flat bear - partly cos of I've been drinking all week & then that just magnifies the other stuff (lonely, sad, desperatly unfit etc etc etc) charrain.gif

Anyhoo, on a positive note I have actually got out of bed! It's been nice to have a catch up on all the diaries, I've put some washing on & done last night's washing up. I had a bit of wine left & turned it into ice cubes. There's also an unopened bottle in there but as it's unopened I know I'm much less likely to drink it (i know that's random but it works in my head!)

Had a lovely PM the other day in response to my plan to combat my loneliness so must reply to that - thank you, nice person, you know who you are! ;)

Finally, mahoosive congrats to Jo for being so brave & talking to bloke at work, & to Marru for getting 2nd interview cheerleader3.gif

A little nervous, but I'll join you :)

I have had your flat, lonely, sad, desperately unfit etc etc etc feelings for most of my adult life and it's all due to drinking, no other explaination. I used to think I drank because my life was flat and I felt loney and sad......but I guess that's the nature of the disease for me, it's turned on it's head.

Just need the courage to try and turn it round :)

    Morning all

Got lots planned today, all boring stuff, lots of cleaning, I want every wardrobe emptied sorted out and kids clothes that no longer fit bagged up and ready to take to the charity shop....I would ebay them but in the mood I'm in today, I want to rid the clutter. My kitchen could do with a good spring (autumn) clean and this will probably take me most of the day. Need to have a good think about tea tonight, I'd like to make summat nice but then that could involve being alone in the kitchen for a long period of time which is a drink trigger for me, so it's either gonna have to be a summat nice that is v. quick or summat shove in the oven type that requires no cooking. OH is ill, so I don't think he'd be bothered what I do....

Won't think about it till later, need to get some stuff done this morning and mustn't sit on here all day :naughty:

    Hope everyone's okay? xxx

OMG! I've just remembered I'm going out for dinner tonight with mate _pale_

I've just text her to ask if it's still on as I've not heard anything.....if she says she can't then that's all well and good but if she says yes then I'm looking forward to the curry ;)
