When I stopped drinking I was craving much more sugar in my diet. This is under control now, but I always start a 'night out' with a full fat coke or lemonade (before moving to lime and soda) to get the sugar hit. I feel weary very quickly without it.
Weird one today - got a new job (lost my last one 5 weeks ago) and don't know the AF way to celebrate. The non-AF way is to open a bottle of bubbly, but having a cup of tea doesn't seem so much of an event!!
Even after 3+ yrs of sobriety, I can still see how hard-wired my brain is towards alcohol (perhaps it is society as a whole).
Still, great news and very happy!!0 -

Congrats on your new job!
Hope you're having a great afternoon all!
I decided against my haircut, and postponed for 2 weeks when I'll be able to afford it..
This didn't stop me having a blowout on Amazon and spending the money (£30), on an OS upgrade (Snow Leopard from Tiger) for my Mac, in the early hours of this morning though!
Software should be here tomorrow
Need to get out and get some food in, and carry on working on my letter to the Tribunals Service (ESA Appeal) this afternoon.
Cheers,
Sim x
PS - I partly upgraded my Mac OS, so I'm able to go for part time work I've found working from home online (minimum spec = Mac OS X Leopard, and I only have Tiger), so it's sort of allowed!0 -
