Morning all!

Piglet deposited at school, no problems!:j So sat enjoying a coffee and the peace and quiet.:coffee:

HB - Thats an easy question for me to answer. If alcohol was removed from existence, I wouldn't turn to any other substance. I have never smoked (hate it with a passion ) and never even contemplated doing drugs. I once dated a drummer so hung around with a band a lot, and they all smoked stuff. I never did. So why I like alcohol so much I don't know

Cazza - Congrats on house selling! And as YM says, don't beat yourself up over the wine. You've been through a lot lately. Go a bit easy on yourself.

Shaggy - 6 for me please! And that picture made me laugh this morning!:T

Plans for this morning - sit with lots of coffee and work out meal plans etc for next few weeks. Worry about Piglet. Get some washing dried. Worry about Piglet. Catch up on emails. Worry about Piglet. You get the picture

Hope you're enjoying the freedom MissP. Speaking as one who's been there, when you start working while piglet is at school then you won't have any regular time apart until he leaves home!!! (and going on current living costs that's not likely to be for another 30 years). Make the most of it!!

Maman - yes, enjoying the freedom. Although just soent 40 minutes chatting to my Mum on phone.....and I'm gonna be seeing her at 2.30!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Ra - you may be right on the sugar addiction. When I'm drinking, I eat very few sugary foods (don't get me started on how many carbs I get through though!!) but if I'm not drinking at all, I find my consumption of cakes etc goes up.

I'm not a sweet tooth at all, but since my drinking has almost stopped - I'm finding myself eating sweet things - (I still don't like them) but I'm eating more of them (whilst thinking, um why am I eating this??)

Odd, maybe it is a sugar thing???

HB in answer to your question - I don't think I'd miss alcohol - and not sure I'd replace it with anything - can't think of any other 'socially acceptable drugs' thesedays aside sugar and of course the other baddie 'caffine'

Maybe coffee houses would become the new pubs - with folk jittering out of them at closing time - fuelled up on caffine?
