The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread Part 8!

  • 5 for me please, Shaggy, ta.

Had 'lunch' with some old friends yesterday, who I meet up with every 6 months. 15 months ago, when I'd just started on this thread, I started not having any alcohol when I met them - this was really difficult at first, as I'm the only one not drinking. Anyway, since then, I'm still the only one not drinking when we meet up. They aren't drinking wine, just halfs and pints of lager, so around 4 pints each, I think. But I don't think I'll meet up with them next time, I've decided it's too alcohol orientated. Sorry if this sounds a bit rambling, but it's a bit of a breakthrough for me to realise this!!!

Happy Sunday, everybody. I'm off to the gym. I had my usual bottle of wine last night, but no more, and this is only one night per week now, which means 9 units per week - all in one night, I know, but I just have to accept that!!

    Bi for now

    Sue xoxo

DD woke me up quarter to 10  unheard of - we must have both been tired.

We are taking all my rat stuff to the local rescue so that they can be put to good use. The lady who runs the rescue is lovely so we will get a chance to sit down with a cuppa and snuggle some of the rodents that she has waiting for homes. Don't worry - I am aiming to leave my rat cage there, not bring any more furries back home.

Lunch might be Mr Mac if I can manage to find free parking space in town.

    Have great day everyone!!!

    Morning all

Shaggy, well done on AF and Calorie contol :D

DC, hope you're okay matey? xx

Sue, congrats on gaining control, you have done amazingly well. :T

Miss P, I think you should go to Slimming World anyway as that was your plan and you were obviously ready to do it. If you pass on it for a couple of weeks, the urge and motivation might not be there....iykwim? It's only around a fiver a week isn't it? Why not list a couple of things on ebay a week to pay for it? So...are you not having pork for tea then?? ;) xx

Lurky, enjoy the oysters _pale_ I've never had them and not sure I'd like them.

Marru, my kids woke me up this morning and I was really cross because they all came in and jumped on the bed at 7.30am yesterday and I said that I wasn't at work and wanted a lay in so they MUST NOT wake me up on Sunday. So when they jumped on me this morning I wasn't very pleased, till I realised it was 9.37am  :rotfl:

Morning to everyone else, I really need to get a shufty on, am meant to be having a weekend of washing, sorting and getting stuff ready for the kids going back to school tomorrow, names in labels etc etc. But yesterday I spent the 'entire' day on the laptop for one reason or another  so Jo 'procrastinator' 1972 has to do 2 days worth of stuff in 1 day

Off to prep the pork ;)

Then sort the washing out and get the kids ready to go out.

    Chow for now

    xx
