Oh cazza I am so sorry to hear what you're going thorugh. Please accept loads of hugs. :T for staying AF with such extreme provocation. Perhaps it will be a little easier next week when you're out of the house more with your new job. And maybe some AA meetings too if you decide to go?

I succumbed to pork again today:o I went out planning to get chicken or lamb but decided the pork was so delicious last week (and such good value) I had to buy it. I'm doing the bone-out version which is identical recipe but quicker (and not quite so meltingly wonderful).

Planned drinking here today (but not until later with dinner). Went to a wedding on Friday and had rather too much but didn't like being hungover yesterday:( Back on the wagon tomorrow!

    And bacon is???? shrug.gif

Cazza - hugs to you and well done for staying AF :T

YM - WOOHOO!! Well done! (perhaps next time opt for ginger ale or ginger beer as ginger is said to help with certain - ummmm - ailments :rotfl:)

I have decluttered: One big rat cage, two big bags of cat litter, one binbag full of shredded card, one carrier bag of rat food and 3 rat food bowls

I have purchased: Roller blind for kitchen (just to realise that I will need BF and electric drill before I can put it up - pah), lampshade for my bedroom, cushion for DD to be her "thinking spot" when she is naughty (her idea) and fixings to get my new notice board on the wall (off to tackle that bit now)

So I think the balance has been achieved :D

  • Hello everyone,

Yesterday was a horrendous day personal-wise, but with the help of a friend, I managed to stay AF. etc etc (we don't need to re-read the gory details)
So things are tense, awful and not even very civil in the house now - we can barely stand the sight of one another, let alone living together, but it is something I will just have to live with until the house sells, as I can't afford to live anywhere else. We had a viewing yesterday and they seemed to like it, but no offers as yet.

My life is like a bloody soap-opera at the moment ;)!!!!

Anyhoo.......hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.

    Hugs,

    Caz

Just popping in quickly - have actually done some of the many things that need doing today instead of just being on here ALL weekend ;)

Caz, I split up with my partner recently and in 1 of my posts last night I wrote how these forums have helped me so much.
Your post is 1 of the reason why...........it makes me think:
'FGS, it's OVER now just get on with life'
because my situation seems nothing compared to what you (and many others) are having to deal with.

:T:T:T for managing to stay AF. It really IS soooo worth it...........difficult as it may be.
Good luck with the new job and let's hope that the house sells very soon.
    Special hugs for you x

Just to keep up with the food theme on this thread.........just doing a (from the old days) Slimming World Corned Beef Quiche made with chicken eggs I collected just after being laid this morning!
    MMMMNNNHHHHHHHHH...............

    May call in again later.....x

Ps See you've been very busy today Jo ;):rotfl:

  • My pork has been roasting for hours and the house smells delish. Just realised it's 5pm on a Sunday and I haven't even thought about having a drink - how lovely to have no bells ringing (usually on a Sunday I'd have had a couple by now). Back at work tomorrow - will be lovely to get up with no hangover. Must get the spuds etc done so bye for now.
