Thanks for your lovely reply Jo. Your morning posts from work had me laughing......love your sense of humour.

This forum has been a godsend for me, especially during the last 5 weeks............I honestly don't think I'd be feeling like I am now if it wasn't for being able to post on here and have support from total strangers who I have loads in common with.

Now these YM pics..........I have also lurked in The Arms and come across some interesting pics from amistupid - not sure if that means anything to you, but any similarities?

It's also, (for me), like a breath of fresh air to read the thoughts, worries, rants etc from somebody that doesn't drink (in this way) but is affected by it. We have had other posters on here that have had very very sad stories to tell and it does put it all into perspective.

Funny isn't it how we sometimes only think of things in one way and then on here you get other peoples opinions/experiences and it can change the way you feel.

Right, cat's moved and I'm off to shower and then off to bed, otherwise I'll be on here for hours!

I've been there myself. When I remarried, I kept my former married name. Partly because it was my 'professional' name that everyone knew me by in work circles and also because it made it easier for school stuff with DD. Many years on, the reasons don't apply any more but the name remains.

Mmmmmm....Let me see.......

Now I was not AF yesterday but I do not feel bad about it for 2 reasons.

1. Call of nature in the middle of a Football field so had to run a bit like Mr Bean to the nearest building that had a loo which just happened to be a Pub. Ordered Half a lager and settled myself down to rectify my sudden ailment ( Sorry if you are readying your pork ) and then finished my drink.

2. After my half the demon in my head said " Have another one" and on the way home in the car " You might as well buy some beers as you are not AF today. What difference if it is Half or 12". Then I thought that wouldnt it be nice to just have the half of lager and then have no more so....Thats what I did . So only the 0.5 of beer to report yesterday instead of the usual 12 on a weekend.

dundeedoll..Thanks for your post and as Jo says it is nice to hear stories fron different perspectives and I have been known to frequent the Arms sometimes and even DT

Now off to see if I can find any of my Hairy feet pictures although I may leave it today as my Bowel meanderings may have been enough to put everyone off their Sunday roast...Chicken for me today
