M & S are shiiiiiite:eek::eek::eek:
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Please don't say it out loud.... it's like nails down a blackboard.
Comfy they might be - good for your boobs and posture they are NOT! Especially if you are bigger than a C cup!!
I went to M&S to have a fitting (LOL, you just have to) the lady put me into a bra and I said 'but it does not fit' and showed her my boobs falling out the bottom. She did not have a clue. She got through all the styles (but I had to go and get them... !!!!!!) with me saying it did not fit and she said 'I think you need to go to Debenhams instead'. :rotfl: I know it was mean but I just had to do it to see how truly bad they were.0 -
I finally went through to Edinburgh for a fitting at Bravissimo after I'd been all round Dundee trying to find something to fit. Even M&S had nothing that I wasn't hanging out of.
Turns out I'm a 38J instead of the 42G I measured up as.
Bravissimo fit them quite tight across the back, but once you get used to the feeling it's OK, it also does wonders for your silhouette / shape as for once the midriff section can be seen instead of being covered up by gian boobies in the wrong size of bra.;)
I took a note of the types I bought (Panache brand ones are too high at the side for me, so I know to stay away from them)
I ordered a different brand and took a chance on the fit because Bravissimo didn't have anything my size in fuschia (need it for under a formal dress) and it fitted too - got cashback from Quidco too aswell as the bra being cheaper, so was well chuffed when they arrived and fitted.:)
Now I know what a properly fitted bra looks like there's no going back.

Of cours,e please PM me.
I need:
Measurement of your rib cage - lift your boobs and draw an invisible line around your back - look in a mirror sideways on and you'll see where the tape has to go. Pull the tape snug - not so tight you cannot breathe but not too loose, it has to be snug so that it does not move when you do.
The brand and size of bra you are currently wearing and how the cup fits you - does it overspill? Do you fall out of it?
If you PM me these details I'll do a virtual fitting - this will give you a rough guide of the size of bra you should be looking for and then, once you have tried one one if this size, if it feels way too tight (it should be snug but not too tight you cannot breathe or it digs in too much) you can go up a band size and down a cup size, or if it feels too big you can go down a band size and up a cup size. However, you are looking for 3 things: band should be snug around the middle of your back, it should not ride up. Cup should cup your breast tissue, put your hands into the bra and scoop everything from under your arm into the cup - this is breast tissue too and it spreads out if not 'confined' (LOL) in the right size bra and finally, part the boobs at the front, the middle of the bra should fit flat against your ribcage - onbiously does not apply if wearing a plunge bra.
Oh, and do not use a padded plunge bra for your first fitting - especially if larger than a C cup. Choose these after you know what your correct size is.0 -

This is how your bra is supposed to fitbecause you have been used to wearing the wrong size this is why it feels tight for you but this is the fit you are looking for in a bra. I call it snug. However yes, it does wonders for your posture as it pulls your back upright, the wrong size means you lean forward and your breast feels heavy. Wearing the right size means you don't really know they are there if you are of a larger size.
I would recommend Bravissimo over any other bra shops going. I believe some do operate on an appointment basis though so if you are know you are heading into town it might be worth calling first. The get especially busy at weekends. Debenhams and Selfridges fitters are trained by the same fitting school I went to, they are trained well, so do not disregard them either. John Lewis and House of Fraser are also good to go to.0
