Do you REALLY know your bra size?

Can anyone tell me what type of bra to get so that I don't 'fall out' of the cup if I lean over?
I have recently remeasured as I have lost weight and was wearing 42f instead of what I should have been....36H. So, now I have a bra that fits snugly around the back and is supportive, but I would dearly love to get one that doesn't let me fall out. I have one bigger than the other, and it's the bigger one that falls out.
Is there anything I can do to sew a panel across or something?
And please don't tell me to go to a really expensive shop.I honestly don't have the money!!!
Anything that does not plunge. You should have been fitted so the bigger boob fitted the cup and the smaller was a bit baggy. If it fits, you won't fall out when you lean over.
You do not have to spend 'a lot' because you can buy past season - I cannot post links but have some for £8-£12 from Freya/Fantasie/Panache, etc....
If you are falling out then you are in the wrong bra I am afraid. Can you tell me what brand/style you have been fitted into (there will be a 4 digit number on the back of the label)?0 -
Actually La Senza sizes do seem to be completely different. I'm a 34FF in Panache and Freya, but my La Senza bikini is 38F and that cup is on the generous side!
It's a lovely bikini, but it's got these humungus foam cups, and when you get out of the pool, you have to give yourself a 2-handed boob-squeeze to get rid of about a litre of water the cups have absorbed!!
:rotfl:
I've got mine by trial and error. I've only ever been measured at an M&s and a small local lingerie shop (now defunct). The local shop measured the fullest part of the bust and guesstimated a size based on that . The assistant told me I was definitely a 36C when a 36DD was tight. I should probably find somewhere that does it properly since I've hd my second child but nowhere around here seems any good.0 -

Thanks Blue monkey. On the back of the label are 2 4digit numbers. And a few longer and shorter.
The 4 digit ones are.....1162, 3503.
It is an ANA bra from George. The day I had measured myself, I had walked into the store, and this was on a sale rail just inside the door. So it was meant to be for me. And it was cheap.
since then I have looked in Matalan, from where I have bought bras before, and couldn't find anything in my size. If you can give me any help, I would appreciate it so much.
It would be so lovely to be able to put on a bra and not 'think' about it every second that I have it on!!!
BTW, I find that I'm only properly supported in an underwire bra. Otherwise they are almost down to my waist!!!!!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

You won't believe this!!! I went into Debenhams to have a try on of some 'proper' bras and had a funny old time. The Debenhams own brand didn't fit around the back, but the same size in the expensive bras fitted beautifully.
Was on my way home to go on the web and find some of those for a good price from somewhere like lingerie-heaven ( a fab site I came across with very expensive bras remarkably cheap!!!) and popped into the charity shop. There was a bra.......IN MY SIZE!!!!!!!! For the grand sum of £1.50. To say I snapped it up is an understatement. I have it on, I can't feel it, it holds me up and in and I am a very happy bunny!!!
Obviously I will need more than one, so, once I have the money, I will be ordering myself another.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I went into Debenhams yesterday for a bra fitting and the woman there was very lovely. She measured me and said I was a 36B. A big step up from my previous size of 34A. The bra I tried on fitted beautifully and I bought it just to tide me over for now.
The problem I find is that I still fit into some of my 34A bras but I suppose it does depend on where they were bought from.Competition Wins:
