What one did you buy last year. What is comfy for you might not be comfy for another person so it is all down to indivual choice. You can buy ones with padded cups (not that give a lift but they give you shape), then you can buy lace ones. What is it that you are looking for and what was night right about the other.
I'll be honest, a strapless br ais not the most comfortable thing in the world. If it is to be worn day to day with summer tops, have you thought about a strapless, bra sized bandeau bikini top?
thanks i just want to wear it with summer tops also i want one to give me some lift the ones i bought were ultimo and aubade ( this one seems to dig in me at the sides ) just checked the ultimo is a 36c but the aubade is a 36d and the c fits better cup wise i was thinking of buying the wonderbra do you rate that also what is the bandeau bikini top

Hi Jackie, you can get bikini tops where the straps come off so they can be worn strapless, they care called bandeau tops as they fit like a band, the ones I sell have an underwired bra inside them and they give a proper fit. I've only got one bandeau top in 36C that gives an extra boost - most of the ones I sell are more specialised and give support but I can get them. The Atlantis one I have I don't think could be worn with summer tops as it has a frill across the front too so it would stick out under tops.
I've not seen wonderbra for years to be honest, I went for gossard instead when the brand was sold, but was not all that impressed with the fit on strapless either to be fair, it is really hard trying to find a decent strapless bra.
I do this with everyone but can you check your back size for me, it's really important when buying a strapless bra, measure around your back for me, pulling the tape snug, and let me know what that is. There are a few options, if you wanted it for tops there is a Freya Deco which is smooth so you get no lines, if you wanted an extra cup size the Atlantis strapless does that, comes in black, nude or white.
If anyone here is just buying one new bra for the summer, choose it in nude as that colour goes with everything and cannot be seen under clothing. White can be seen under white tops for example, where as nude cannot. I know as a colour it is not all 'that' but for practicallity you cannot beat it!!0 -
Does anyone know if Debenhams are any good at bra fittings? Thanks0

They should be very good, their fitters are trained at the training school I went to and my reps go into the stores and will work alongside them to ensure they are fitting the bras correctly, especially when new styles come in.0 -

I really need to get measured, I am wearing 38DD but I have no idea if it is the right size. They fit ok and are comfortable but I am so fussy with bras. I cannot stand underwiring and hate padding. I tend to wear thin cotton bras from bhs but they don't seem as supportive as they used to be.
I am in Bournemouth, where would be best to go? We have a debenhams in town. It's a shame there is no bravissimo down here, I have heard good things about them.
ThanksSlimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
I thought I was a 36 C or D, but M&S think I'm a 34F ... wow, that sounds so big!!!0

I always go to Bravissimo, they are so friendly, helpful and know what they're doing. And best of all they cater for the larger lady!! I walked in and she looked at the bra I had on (34hh) and said you're a 30!!!!! didn't believe it till i walked out with a 30JJ that fitted perfectly, and not a tape measure in sight, she knew from experience what I was she got me to try on a 30j first but a bit tight on the cup so 30JJ it was. And I found different makes fitted differently. Because I have lost 2 1/2 stone now I keep going back and am now a 30GG. I spent an hour and a half with a lovely fitter and came away with a list of makes and models that fitted and one new freya bra. I then went on ebay and purchased 2 which I knew would fit. I do find that a sports bra is a slighty different size. but I am now more confident and buy fitted tops now I have the right size bra on.Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
