Spoony - I thank 'him upstairs' that I had our moggie Big G insured when it came to the treatments etc he needed last year before he departed for rainbow bridge :(, and I made sure that Skippy is also covered in case she ever needs treatment. I don't agree with a lot of the insurances they try to get you to take out, bike, mobile phone, jewellary etc etc but I would ALWAYS recommend pet insurance.

Looks like I am headed for NSD #9 today..... need millk from Mr M (if they have any) but that will come from the 'milk and bread pot so doesn't count. Resisted the urge for Mr Cod chips at lunchtime....my mushroom risotto is just yummy in comparison (she says sarcastically....)

Sorry to add to the doggy an*l gland chat but just thought I'd add that the groomer that does my bichon will do the deed as part of his makeover every couple of months. He's had them done at the vets once (when he obviously needed them done - bum walking on the floor - I believe its called "scooting" - stinky fishy smells emanating from his direction etc) and I had to hold him while she did it. She tried to encourage me to learn but a big definite NO THANKS!!!!

On the NSD front have spent again today - went for my scan and it turns out that everything on it was normal (doesn't solve the mystery pain though) - so had a can of pop, packet of crisps and a Wispa to celebrate! Sorry!:o

Tomorrow will be a NSD - promise!

No NSD for me....HMV tempted me with their £2 CDs.....only got two....Manic Street Preachers and Gorillaz. If anyone likes either band, I can always send them on. Also had to get plug adaptor...and am in two minds about whether my Mac comes with me or not...think I'll be checking my insurance docs just in case.
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Re:insurance I have mine all insured but what bugs me is that the excess is now £70 and you have to pay up front and then claim back....

Well yesterday and today were both bad days spending wise. Ended up getting a takeaway last night as when I got home one of my guinea pigs was very poorly so I was upset and couldn't face cooking. Took her to the vets today and they took an xray and prescribed painkillers and antibiotics but don't know whether they'll help her as they think it's some kind of tumor that she's got so it doesn't look good
So pizza last night was £9 and then vet's fees were £65.26 today so all in all an expensive couple of days :(

Also going to have to spend some money tomorrow as well as OH is at the hospital so will need to pay for parking. I think we find out whether he's been accepted for a drug trial in birmingham and if so when our first appointment down there is

Ugh an expensive couple of days
