Is claiming back Personal Protection Cover the same as claiming back PPI?

If so, how?

Many thanks, Karl.

    Hi Karl

Check the policy details, is it supposed to protect unemployment/sickness etc?
If so then its the same but named differently as some are.

If you been mis sold for any reason then you pursue this with the ones who set up and sold you the policy by completing a questionnaire, this is instead of a reclaim template letter, and issued by the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
    Complete and save a copy.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

You will find the FOS questionnaire further down the page as Stage one of reclaiming.

Hi Karl, I had that with MBNA AND I RECENTLY WAS SUCCESSFUL IN RECLAIMING, (Sorry caps there!), I wrote saying i wanted to cancel my PPC a while ago but as my balance was 0.00 the person told me not to as I wouldnt incur any charges on it, but i used the card again so it carried on adding it.

Good Luck, i got a few letters saying they needed more time, but then a letter saying theyd refund all i'd paid.

How long did you wait, halphy?

I've only just posted it off but was wondering if I'd have to wait the full 8 weeks.. thats if they do actually give me it back

I received a letter yesterday, dated 11-08-10 saying they'll contact me again in 28 days once they'd investigated my claim.
