Sat/Sun 31st/1st July/Aug!!!!! - What small DFW things have you done today?
Comments
-
Today I feel like I've got a task and a half on my hands:
- Batch cooking - chicken pieces and something else with beef mince
- Tidy out 2 or 3 cubes in living room unit
- Go through 2 shelves in bedroom
- More HC (at the launderette???)
- Friendly footie match thingy with OH...
- List 2 or 3 things on e bay
- Start (again!
) the blanket I'm knitting - Update spending diary - August has got to be a better month than last!

- Compile honeymoon packing list

- Check banking and pay what I can to cc
- Wedding planning but no spending! Looking for a hairdresser (and mum is paying on the day :A)
Have insurance on it (because I've had so many problems in the past) but still a hassle to get the guys out - last time it took 5 visits to figure out it needed a new circuit board!
Happy Sunday y'all!0 -

Congratulations Wee_Jo on becoming debt free :j:j:j
I saw your entry on the Roll of Honour. It’ll be years before I can post on that exclusive board, but it’s something I’m determined to do!

Fay I love your rice tip. I might start boiling/freezing some portions. Good for work lunches too. We've been really bad recently and started buying those microwavable pouches...
No reason why I couldn't do something like that (flavour/ingredients-wise) and freeze it...
Sorry about my waffle of a post! Not very coherent or in any sort of order!
Post tomorrow. Night all xx
Escy is a tired old soul
Hey there good luck with the honeymoon planning
The rice/pasta/couscous make lots and freeze it tip I got from Sophiesmum - she use to do the thread a while back
so I'm not really the one to thank
To be honest, thesedays I always cook a whole pot/bag of all that kind of stuff and freeze it - kids use it up after school and i use it for mine and OH (when he's here) lunches
Also means tea is much quicker if you've the rice/pasta/etc already done
The adding the soya mince thing came from here as well (Mbaz thread), if you chuck it in when browing beef/pork/chicken mince - no one can tell - my lot prefer it that way now its a bit lighter and I suppose healthier? Of course it makes the mince stretch further as well
Everyone was really busy yesterday
Wasn't much of a NSD for us yesterday but OH paid for most things - and I got 3 pairs of jeans/cords from the charity shop - £2 each and all M&S
Lodgers move out of the old house today so we might do a final push on getting that empty!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

If the tick is green then it's completed. If there is an orangy type circle it's started and a greyed out tick hasn't been started/done yet. As you can see, I'm not doing too well at the moment!
You've inspired me Stitchy, I'm going to get a list together
. I think I'll focus my first items around having some fun as I'm not very good at this..lol..:)

Do you use branded soya mince or can you get other stuff??? I've only ever seen Quorn - does that work out a lot cheaper?
Shh, but I sometimes chuck in some porridge oats/oatmeal too, definitely bulks it out

- Put some treats in kitchen cupboard later today from stash I’ve hidden in my bedroom (if I don’t do it this way, the kids would eat them all in one go!)
