Your response here shows exactly why this database is flawed. If people organising it and using it, dont have a good understanding of why data should be kept uterly secure and only be passed on with CONSENT, then it is even more dangerous than I presumed.

PrincessPlatys experience is not unusual, I worked for many years with people who experienced significant domestic violence as a social worker.

I suggest this lack of data control puts them at risk. And the questions put to you cant be answered which confirms my suspicions that this database is neither safe nor secure.

I have not tried to register as myself. So therefore I have not registered. So therefore I am neither a liar nor am i plain stupid. The account that has been created is for a person that doesn't exist. All checks were completed on the account that was registered. I will give you a clue petits_filous i registered on the site before i started posting on this thread because i wanted to know more about it before i said anything.

Lynz - as the most mature poster on MSE - when will you come back to us with the data commissioners response as i think that will be the crux information....

until Lynz can do that, may i suggest we all re-read the thread and get our own individual views back into some sort of perspective.....

I didn't register to obtain information. I registered to see how easy it was for someone to register and possibly gain information about me which you do not have my consent to hold.

As a very close friend of PrincessPlaty (Platy not Party) and having been a member of this site for numerous years. I can confirm that the picture is not her and she does not live in manchester.
I also share her concerns although I have never rented a property as I've always been fortunate enough to be a homeowner.
I personally agree with your 'if you've got nothing to hide then what's your concern' statement however you have to understand although she has nothing to hide, she does however have concerns.
These concerns have been outlined several times and your replies and answers are very insensitive in my opinion.
Everybody has an opinion and everybody is entitled to an opinion.
You however fail to accept anothers opinion.
I think you will find nobody has un-lawfully gained sensitive data by deception, I am however releaved to read that you agree your website contains 'sensitive data', maybe you are human afterall.
No 'data' has been collected therefore NO criminal offence has taken place, she was merely enquiring how 'safe' your website was in order to protect herself and her children.
You might like to read up on the new domestic violence laws and also laws on families that are protected by our delightful police force.

I think it is a good thing that you have spoken to the data commissioners because they should know about what is happening, but I think that registering and committing fraud is pretty bad. Especially when you have been going on and on that you think they are breaking the law and how terrible it is but yet you seem to think it is okay for you to break the law.

It may be best that responses from the IOC, to individual's queries about the operation of the site in question, are not posted up on the thread for now.:)

Second of all I DID NOT register on the site on Saturday 21st neither.

The founder in his own name may have been thrown off within the first 10minutes of posting but you were quick enough to come back were you not Paul? Not only under one alias but under 2 different aliases. Your deception is hardly credible now is it?

It confuses and concerns me how you can be having a hissy fit over the fact that I *may* have data even though the chances are that you do not have the right to distribute this data in the first place and be telling LL's that they have to input the data of ALL tenants to be in accordance to your terms and conditions this means they must input data of those that they do not have the permission of there by you are breaking the law by holding information on tenants that you do not have permission do so. Infact that is a point i have raised several times now, and each time you have failed to respond.

By complaint to ICO is not based on a fraudulent and deceptive application it is based on what i have seen on YOUR website and your responses on this thread and your failure to answer questions.
