I'm running out of time to transfer from another card!
Thanks.
Returned my agreement Thursday last week, got my PIN yesterday and card today.Maybe you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see...0 -
Demonic, thanks that also good info for me too, as I sent mines back around Weds/Thurs so shouldnt be long now. Did you get a decent limit? You dont need to say how much, just wondering if it is what you see a decent?

My PIN and card arrived at the same time this morning, didn't strike me as the most secure thing to ever happen!
Interestingly too, when I called to activate I did my balance transfer and the guy said my deal was the 6 months 0% offer the current deal replaced. I would have taken him up on that if I didn't need the 3.9 for life deal to finance my new car:)0 -
I know his isn't entirely related but is there anything stopping you from obtaining this card and then transfering the whole credit card limit into a current account as I have a loan which I would pay off and slash my interest rate from 6.7% - 3.9% [/I]
Do you have an egg or MBNA card? If so, the answer is yes. If not then no.
Now call me devious but couldn't you apply for the egg or MBNA card....then transfer your loan to these cards. After this you can apply for the M&S card then transfer the balance...
Long winded but it may work! Am I right?0 -

Sorry, being thick, don't quite follow - did the guy offer you 0% for 6 months instead of 3.9% LOB?£2 coin savers club: £1.49

When I requested my BT he looked at the screen and said "my terms were 0% for 6 months". I asked him if that was correct as I signed for the 3.9 deal,he went to check and confirmed it was the 3.9 for life I was on.
I guess I could have got the 0% deal but needed the longer term thing anyway so am happy with my card.0 -
Got my card today with a £6500 Limit....
I was about £800 short to complete my balance transfers, so i rang them to Activate my card then explained about the short fall....after a short pause i was granted the larger credit limit in respect of Balance Transfers.
Thus all balance transfers were completed
I'm one happy chappie;)

I'm really disappointed - I got my card today with a £2k limit - my lowest since I was a student! With an income of more than £30k and fairly good credit score I thought I might get at least £5k, which is what I need really.
Anyway, having read a similar post above, I guess it's because I have a few cards open with various limits - it's a pain though because I wanted to transfer all those across then close those accounts!
When I called to activate the card, I asked if I could increase it to £5k. She said there was no chance because it was a new account they wouldn't offer that kind of limit (she's obviously never heard of MSE where we share our limits!) but she did say they could up in by a grand. I got the impression that whatever limit you are offered they leave a buffer of about £1k so you are almost guaranteed it. She also said after 4 months I can call back and they will review my limit to see if they can increase it. The 3.9% offer will still apply then (it applies for BT's within 6 months of opening) so I am hoping if I am good between then and now they might increase it for me0
