If they tv had gone up in value at the shops would you be starting thread on this or be so take it back and pay the difference, Nope I bet you wouldn't
Price paid doesnt necessarily signify the value though
Else there would be no such thing as a bargain and no such thing as a rip off.
While some items may go up in value, most - if not all - that become outdated or "worn" as time goes on (especially with electronics where they can become outdated in a few mere months) will depreciate.
The "value" of something that is meant to last for hundreds of years vs the value of something meant to last less than 10 is hardly comparable.
While people may pay outrageous prices for a bottle of alcohol that is hundreds of years old, you wont find them doing that for a tv thats only 5 years old - not unless it was maybe the first tv ever made
