It seems odd that T-Mobile are offering android users 3GB internet and most of their iPhone plans are only 500MB.

I suspect they'll probably make more margin on Android phones than on iPhones? On this don't Apple insist on approving contracts on iPhones too?

I'm gutted that T-mobile aren't offering discount to loyal customers on an upgrade to an iPhone. Is this because there are many people willing to pay full price that they know they don't need to give discount?

I have actually found that there upgrades are generally rubbish. No decent free phones and any phone that is atleast as good as the one I got FOR FREE 18 months ago will cost me approximately £150!!

Am seriously considering changing network after 11 years with them. Can get much better deals elsewhere.

Yea that will change i expect as they are part of orange and they offer upgrade customers the same deals or better deals than new now.

Unlikely, the Iphone is in such demand you are unlikely to get any discount.

Look at it this way, if you get a discount from your provider and want to go to a new phone. If you want the iPhone and get offered no discount then either you pay up or get something else.

If you don't buy it then the networks have a load more people who will, they don't need to discount it at all to sell, and it's reported that Apple won't let them anyway.

No matter what people say and think over the reception (and mines better than any phone I've had before) there is such a demand that every iphone made is selling. Theres no need to discount a product when there is such demand they can't make enough of them. If it was something that was not shifting you may discount it to sell, but it's not and so they won't.

As I've said in other threads contract and phone prices between all providers are pretty much the sqame on the iPhone no matter who you get it from when you look over the cost per month over the contract term.

I got discount from orange on my iphone 4 32gb. I ordered a 16gb online early one morning when it said instock and paid and then I rang to confirm later. They said they had some in but had to satisfy back orders. I was told that mine would be honoured. At 4 they rang to say they had run out and wouldnt honour my order. I went mental and said I was allowed to order online so I have now canceled my pre-order with orange shop etc. I was going to leave them and I have 2 contracts with them and have been with them for years. The guy said I have 32gb and I said yea but the are 119 more on the contract I want. They promptly did a discount.

No, but you're probably the only on replying to a thread titled 'I finally got a new iPhone'.
