The problem is, this thread is about a case, and the haters have turned it into yet another discussion about the reception issue.

    Another thread ruined, bravo.

yes and you have admitted to having a case to protect your iphone.

I know haters have moaned about the it needing a case but it a case of I wanted one. Same as i did for my 3gs I had a couple because I wanted one.

The problem with those hard cases is dust gets in the back and sides and scratches the phone.Best way to keep it mint is an invisible shield like Bodyguardz and then a hydro silicon case over the top.Thats what i use anyway :)

Just because you've never had a problem, doesn't mean that other people haven't, you are just lucky and have better reception where you live than myself. The phone is faulty and Apple aren't going to do anything to fix the problem, they are going to cover it up with a bit of cheap plastic and most people will still buy it because it's an iPhone. I agree other phones have problems, but you send them off and they get fixed, why don't Apple do this? It's not like they're even going to stop selling the faulty ones and re-engineer it to actually work.

had mine for a month and it works fine. I looked up how you would have to hold the phone and if you rest the phone in your palm during a call thats when you have problems. I hold the phone away from my palm and just support it with my fingers - which is probably why I don't really see it as an issue.

Mine is in a case and screen protector because I don't want to it to get scuffed and scratched...

Cheapest i could find for Bodyguardz was ebay.com took about a week to arrive around £12 when i bought it up to £14 now.Do a search may be cheaper.
BTW you get 2 invisible shields so if you muck up the first one you get a 2nd chance.

    Wow, that's horrible

What's wrong with that software update that supposedly fixed the hardware problems :p

Had the IP4 since release and not had one dropped call, had an issue with the proximity sensor, took it the shop, they gave me a new one, sorted.

I use a case to protect my £500 phone from scratches/damage. The same as people put laptops in bags.

I use a switcheasy vulcan. No bulk, all around protection.
