I've had a fabulously frugal evening. Dinner at mum and dads which was lovely :)

We've come home and I've had a lovely bath with muscle soak bubble bath in because I still feel a bit achey and I've used my homemade sugar scrub all over and done my face with the Oil Cleansing Method. Might smooth a bit of bio-oil over because it still feels a bit tight.

Lots of funny TV on tonight - Rev, Life's Too Short (I'm going to give it another chance) and then Celebrity Juice.

Got to get up half an hour earlier tomorrow - 6am

Hi, thanks for earlier on Lulas thread, i am normal after all :) on another note whats in the sugar scrub feel like i need a exfoliate

Aaaw you're welcome....it doesn't make me feel so bad knowing it's happening to other people as well - not that I want anyone else to go through what I'm going through. Weird ours is happening at the same time though....we only split up just over 2 weeks ago and I'm amazed at how OK I feel now when I felt so low only on Sunday. I'm sure I'm going to have down days but at the moment I'm keeping very busy.

    My fabulous sugar scrub

    In a small bowl, mix:-

    2 tbsp olive oil
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp salt

This should make enough to scrub all over. Rinse off well. The sugar will dissolve in the bath water and the olive oil will make your skin wonderfully moisturised. You could add some drops of essential oil if you want to give it a nice smell.

    Now get scrubbing!! :D

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher hae split up. I don't usually follow celeb things but this is all over the news this morning. It must be so hard if you split up and you're in the public eye. At least I can hibernate away and so long as I avoid !!!!!book I'm unlikely to find out anything that WLM is up to.

The insulation man knocked on the door at 7.30am:eek: I knew he'd be early. I wasn't dressed so i told him to come back at 8. He seems ok though but he's on his own so I wonder if I'll be called on to hepl at some point???

I wonder if he'll be good enough to put the loft boxes back up there for me when he's finished???

I've just checked my bank account and some maintenance has gone in! Not the full amount but I wasn't expecting anything till next week so it was a pleasant surprise. Also got my small amount of tax credits so that makes things look a bit healthier. I get paid next friday so things shouldn't look so dire when my salary goes in.

As soon as the insulation man has gone I'm going to nip to town and get my eyebrows done.

Then I'm going to do a frugal aldi shop (is there any other kind of aldi shop?!?!). DD wants to try scampi so we'll have that for our tea.

The ins man noticed that one of the down-lighters in my room has come unclipped. There's no metal spring so need to find out if I can buy one on its own or have to get a complete new light. My dad has given me the name of a helpful elctrical wholesalers so i will pop along to them at some point.

Mustn't forget to go to the tip!

I must admit it is nice having a day to myself. Ideally I'd like to just work 4 days a week so that I have time to get things done when DD is at school and don't end up rushing through everything at the weekend. I just don't think i could afford it though.

On the plus side it means the divine Ashton is now available again ... :D/:o.

Thanks for the scrub recipe - sounds fab.

I love that coffee nails inc colour too, I received the dark red one last month & although I love the colour, it has stained my nails, even thought I use a base coat, not happy, they look awful :( & I'm now having to wear colours. Bought a fab turquoise colour earlier - :).

I work 4 days a week & it's MY day & I'd need a really decent payrise to give it up ... too precious right now; although may change that when DD old enough to do her own thing.

Hope you feel better soon - lots of vitamin c for you.
    xx

Ashton Kutcher doesn't really do it for me, although at the moment beggars can't be choosers, not that I'm begging but you know...

Red nail varnish doesn't suit me. I've tried and I always make a mess of it. Turquoise on the other hand IS my colour. I had my colours done years ago and that's the one that came out best.

I needed to get a new face powder when I was in town and in Sooperdrug they had this range that was doing the powders for £1, very :money: and it was 3 for 2 with the cheapest free so Lula I was able to afford the Maybelline gel eyeliner and also got an eyeshadow for free. Just need to practise with the eyeliner now

Bought a birthday present for my goddaughter in Claire's, got some birthday cards and then realised later on that one of them is the wrong age. What an idiot.

Got my eyebrows done and bought some more EPO.

    Right, now...tip!!

So much for a frugal Aldi shop - it came to £38.95

Had to get some other bits in Mr M's - £17.80

Picked up my prescription for my headache (prevention) tablets £7.40

However, I did buy a bottle of Cocobay (Aldi's Malibu) and a bottle of Crabbie's Ginger Wine (I love ginger wine :D) so I suppose they bumped it up a bit. We have plenty of food now and I did buy a few bits I wouldn't usually get.

The house doesn't feel as warm as I'd hoped it would especially as there is now 25cm worth of insulation in the loft, but i didn't put the heating on till 6 so maybe it hasn't had a chance to completely warm up yet.

I've enjoyed having today off. I got loads of stuff done that I usually have to do at the weekend so we can have a lazy(ish) day tomorrow. Going to see some Xmas lights being switched on in the next town tomorrow evening.

    £37.10 on OnePoll :)

    £1 PAD to Barclaycard :)
