Gadget-guy wrote:Cheers postingalwaysposting,:) Still looking forward to having a shot when it comes out. Quick question before I go, when it on display in stores to try, how do they stop people stealing the wireless controllers ?
lol once you had a go i bet you cant put it down :rotfl: aint got a clue to your question, i would guess they will put some cord on (like they do in mobile phone shops) if not then have it more 'instore' rather in the door way but i can see them going walkies too....0 -
Gadget-guy wrote:Thanks for the reply Dazed, my son seems quite excited by the Wii, to be honest so are the rest of the family, as it seems a nice change and something we all can enjoy and he has his PSP for Fifa and stuff, I just get fed up at being overcharged compared to other countries (even Australia is about £15 less)
I do think it will come down before Xmas in a suprise move by Nintendo. still a Wii while to wait but enjoy it if you get one.
Yeah the gamecube came down £40 so there is a chance but for the games and technology then its worth it as it is. With the PS3 being £400-600then you get the idea ! And as you said its a nice change. And you can download MArio Kart !!!!!
The best game to play with friends family EVER, apart from goldeneye
And if you can dont pre-order from online retailers always get ones in the high street so you can go and pick them up. Woolies or game will be good as tehy were good when the xbox came out.
The controllers in the shops will probably be the standard controllers and not the wireless ones to stop the tea leaves getting them :0Man who stands on toilet is high on pot. - Old chinese proverb.0 -

dazed wrote:I would get one of these over a 360 as you can play games on a PC that you can get on a xbox. BUT I have a pc that will play the games.
Not entirely. Take Oblivion for example, it's on PC, but if you've got a £1,000+ PC that can handle it then fair enough. Also some games are exclusive to the 360, or if they aren't they take years to come out (like Halo) and just aren't the same on PC.
I've always liked Nintendo for the playable games. Usually things like Mario, one of the Mario Kart equivalents, etc... Often cartoony, cute looking, very playable. Personally though I'm going to wait. The controller does look amazing, but how it feels and handles may be another matter. Will it be accuate enough etc..."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I think you'd be wise to take note of the difference between UK and USA electrical supplies, is my advice...0

I've just had a call from one of my brothers. He is a manager of a Gamestation shop. He just mentioned that if you want to buy an Xbox, you should wait a little while longer. In about November, the price for the Xbox 360(not the Core system) is planned to come down to about £230. This will include new changes to the internal chassis (new fan system) that will keep the console cooler in use. He also mentioned a games deal that will see a massive increase in games titles available for the Xbox. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Weeeeeeeee(ii)!!!
I just paid my £20 deposit to Gamestation today and they dasi I can just pop in anytime to pay it off as I go before release, They also said that they will be doing special offers on trade-ins so I'll be taking in the Gamecube and other bits(those damned Bongos - my poor hands!!) to take advantage as well.
Told kids so they know we're getting a big family present instead of individual ones and they are well happy. Just have to get controllers for all of us now - another £45 a pop - sigh.Noli nothis permittere te terere

Remember if it is costing to much you can use the gamecube contollers instead of having lots of the wireless ones (maybe not as good but cheaper).0
