Nintendo Wii release date??

Has anyone heard of a release date for the new nintendo console? Also does anyone know if it will be region free?

I'm off to New York at the end of October and was wondering if i'd be able to get it over there but didn't want to get it if i can't play UK games?

Has anyone seen it yet it looks the dogs and i honestly beleive that it is gonna seriously dent microsoft and sony's domination of the market.

hiya mercury i will be watching this thread with intrest, i was told play preorder but i cant find it anywhere i am now looking at all the other game shops, i will be back if i find an answer :rotfl:

I have read a fair bit about it and all i can say is it looks great. I also don't think your gonna be too far off to getting one at the money you have saved allready. I've been reading under $200 so maybe just over the hundred pounds??

March 2007 I think, but it was posted on digg today that there *could* be a suprise launch very soon (next couple of months). I doubt it though.

I read that it is out in Nov? I was hoping for earlier as i'm off to NYC and i think it would be cheaper. Anyone know about the regions?

ive signed up to the one on the website (they send you info as soon as they get it).

whether we will be doing one in store, i do not know, and wont know until it happens (unless someone higher up the pecking order lets something slip )
