decrement i wouldnt do it with play... when they released the xbox360, all of them ended up going to staff and all the preorders had to wait till the second batch (so i was told buy someone who works there). I am prob going to get it/preorder from game, its only around the corner from where i work0 -
Could be better, £45 extra for another contoller (a bit much seeing that it is being aimed at multi player), does not play DVDs, will not be region free (USA Nintendo guy says it is but UK Nintendo guy says it is not ?), game prices seem good £35 - £40. It will have a built in memory of 512mb.
A few sites are saying that it was supposed to be £149 but because of the non release of the PS3 before Xmas Nintendo took advantage of that and increased the price a couple of days ago. Do not be suprised if Nintendo reduce the price before the release date as they too £50 of the Gamecube this way and it makes them look very generous.0 -

i guess you wont be buying one then... ok its not and xbox360/ps3 but they are for to totally different gamers and are aimed as such, you can no way get the amount of family games/platforms on the xbox360/ps3... ok you cant play dvds, 55% of people now have dvdplayer in there home, its not region free , well unless you live in the usa and japan and here, do you need it region free? 512mb memory, what you want 300+ games and 'stuff' on it too, buy a pcas for the price hike so what £170 is still a great price for a great console i draw the line at over £200 thats just silly.... the only thing i agree with in your statement is the extra controllers... but if you buy them when you need them (not all people want to play multi player) and you care for your stuff etc etc then i dont see any problems
in my honest opinons....

Quite.
I've been waiting for this console ever since the idea of the wiimote was announced - I even went out and bought a 2nd hand gamecube (which seems decidedly shoddy up against the xbox - apart from Resi Evil IV) to build up a back catalogue of star wars games that I could carry over.
I've fully supported the idea of sacrificing image for playability, but somehow, now they've announced such a hefty price compared to what it might have been, and the over-priced controllers and expensive games I'm having serious second thoughts. There's no way I'm going to reserve one now, I'm perfectly happy to wait and see if the wiimote is as good as we're led to anticipate. With the fair chance of another drop in the xbox 360 price before the release of the Wii, hi-def gaming is looking more and more appealing.I am a cider drinker - like my father before me.0 -

thanks dazed, also on that site it says you can add extra memory with sd cards... someones not done there research
dazed i love your sig, i hope you add the days left to go too :rotfl:0 -
And the first party games are region free. Before you post get your facts right please
Will the Wii be region-free? Yes. Like the Nintendo DS, the Wii will be able to play games from other regions, such as Japan, without any restriction. Kaplan implied there might be a region lock that publishers would be able to flip on, but it doesn't sound like the first-party titles from Nintendo will be restricted.Man who stands on toilet is high on pot. - Old chinese proverb.0 -
