Hello just a quick drop by to let you know how I plan to proceed with this :)

I have written Welcome a letter tonight saying that I think I should be entitled to a full refund of PPI paid £1376.55 and that if they took the 2 loan payments off of this that I owe on the current agreement which includes the PPI then I would be disadvantaged because I wouldn't be in arrears if they restructure my loan to make it as though I never took out PPI in the first place.

I am also asking for £250 extra compensation for the stress and anxiety caused by having to go through this whole process, therefore I think I should be repaid £1626.55

I am also asking them to clarify the amount of monthly payments that I have left to pay should I sign the new agreement and that it should be restructured in line with FOS guidelines.

I will send it off recorded delivery tomorrow and see what they say. I am giving them until the end of August to reply, which I think is a generous amount of time lol. If they don't respond then I'll take it to the FOS.

I will just have to see what they say next.

This whole thing has made me really tired just lately if I'm honest.

This reclaiming is sometimes wearing, some banks try it on and others just accept and pay.I am glad people are not put off by the sometimes lengthy process and get the result they want in the end. Some people find it daunting and give up at the first hurdle which is what the banks want them to do.Good for you for querying this and sticking with it.At least you have not had to pay 25% or more plus vat to a claims company, who would only do what you can do.Good luck with this and please keep us posted x
