I have just read this thread as I am currently waiting on figures from Welcome after winning ppi claim on on going loan so will be looking at re write too.

I agree with amersall that this is wrong unless like you say the date is from original start date of loan, but where welcome are concerned I not to sure maybe they hope people are daft enough not to notice and just sign
Well done on your win :j:j:j yes you have to keep on your toes with some financial institutions  if in doubt ;) ask fos x Also , make sure you get ppi monthly payments made to date plus you should get interest on these!! i think they have worked these out wrong too !!!!

OP hope you get it all sorted out asap.

there is definately somethong wrong witht he figures here,

if you post your original loan amount and ppi premium and apr i can work out roughly what you should still pay with the restructured loan for the next 24 months only, this is what they should be doing,

please check with them first and confirm that you will be paying for a further 4 years once restructured, or wether you will only be paying for another 24 months, (sorry if you have checked this already but can't see it anywhere).

    cheers

    Thanks Robbed,

I'll get back to you in a couple of hours with the info.

They've sent me another CCA agreement to sign which says 48 months on it - would that be classed as a restructure? In the letter it says something about them rescheduling the loan? I don't really understand what that means :(

when the loan is restructured in loine with the FOS, it should be for the remaining term of the original loan, in your case another 24 months, not 48, and you monthly re-payments should go down as well.

once i have the figures i can let you know what it should be and it will then be for you to question Welcomes offer and maybe you will have to refer this to the FOS to get the correct resolution.

i can see what they are trying ot do here if the restructured lona is for another 4 years, they are tryingto get a similar value to the refund back in additional interest. very cheeky.
