The Sun £9.50 holidays - anyone heard through the post yet?

Thank you so much chimmo12, I rang the number and like you said they answered straight away. I was worried they'd say that I wasn't supposed to ring till next week, but as soon as I asked if they could check the details of my Sun holiday they said certainly and were very helpful. Am off to Haven Devon Cliffs in October :j This was my third choice of park and fourth choice of date but still very happy. The gentleman said confirmation comes directly from the park and will follow shortly. This is my first ever Sun holiday. Anyone ever been to Devon Cliffs?

we had maximum choice of dates and maximum choice of parks... recieved an email this morning sayin we were unsuccesful...but...gave me instructions to go to site where i could pick from remaining dates as they still have our payment.... so we are still happy, goin to our 2nd choice park, the week before our 1st choice of date!! lol!!

3 weeks friday we are goin to Cala Gran

I got the Same email Loolaray, not much choice left for me really as stuck to half term dates... I ended up Choosing pontins at Pakefield ( omg time to lower my expectations).. goin cost me a few quid more in passes and service charges etc.. but its a break away we all need, and il just have to get saving up

This was my first attempt at a £9.50 holiday. I was as flexible as I could be - selected 5 different dates and parks, sent of my application as soon as I had 10 tokens. I heard nothing. So today I phoned and was told I was unsuccessfull :(

Well gutted.... can't help but think it has been all one big con....

Got our letter yesterday confirming one of our choices - put a few down though!

It's our first time doing one aswell and there not really £9.50 holidays are they! bit misleading that. It cost us an extra £66!

I'd say still decent value i suppose though.

No never got an email.

The only dates that were suitable for me were in November, all them dates were put on the form. I can't do sept or October.

I originally thought I would be more successfull with dates in November because it avoided the school holidays in October and the potential of good weather in Sept.

kt26...sorry to hear of your disappointment (I would have felt the same way!!)....don't let it put you off in the future though as I think it was really bad luck and these hols are great....
As for me, I rang the phone number this am...was told we had not been successful (only put one park down so not surprised)..we came up with another park in a different area though so phoned them back and they were very helpful and pleasant and we are now looking forward to our Oct holiday.:j

i got butlins minehead for 1st november i phoned them up and asked how much it would be to change to the week before (monday 25th oct half term) and she said it wouldnot cost any extra and changed it there and then i cant beleive it we have a 3 bedroom apartment for £119 on the website it is over £600 for the same apartment for that week bargain!!

Had our letter today saying we're unsuccessful, and the list of available hols were no good for dates - we could only go at Oct Half Term. Very disappointed but hopefully better luck next time to get a priority!!
